The KC metro is in both KS and MO. It is a very common mistake. There are two Kansas cities - one in KS and one in MO.

The bigger issue is that most people on this board don’t know that Kansas City is in both Kansas and Missouri. The President was correct.

Uh no the Kansas City Chiefs are not in Kansas.

Just like both the New York Giants or New York Jets don’t play in New York nor do the Washington Redskins play in DC. Based on your logic, the President would be wrong to congratulate New York or Washington if they won the Super Bowl since the teams play in other states.

Do the Kansas City Chiefs play in Kansas?

The Kansas City Chiefs play in the Kansas City Metro Area just like the Giants and Jets play in the New York Metro Area and the Washington Redskins play in the Washington, DC Metro Area. Like the Chiefs, these teams physically play their home games in the Metro Area that are part of neighboring states.

So does that mean you can roll Arrowhead Staduim into Kansas from time to time.

Stadium physical location is only relative to the market defined by the NFL.
