Sorry, I have never said that, anywhere.....it reduces violent attacks on people, sure, as criminals who want to keep breathing divert to crimes that don't involve personal contact with possibly armed victims....but I have never said it will eradicate acts of violence.....

I have made the point that armed victims can fight back, and can survive when they are attacked by criminals....wether they are armed with guns, knives, clubs, or just being larger and more aggressive and choosing small, weaker victims, or attacking in groups of 2 or more....and they can also end the criminals ability to attack victims for a while, when they injure or capture them for police.....thus saving future victims...

And we have gun control in this country.....we have background checks, which the criminals avoid, we have laws that state that felons cannot own or carry guns....which they ignore.....and we have every measure that anti gunners want that do nothing to stop criminals from getting guns....

Now tell me.....you claim our gun laws are lax.....yet, gun laws in Europe are supposed to be stricter, and better than ours...and as I have pointed out in numerous posts and threads criminals in strict gun control countries can and do get whatever guns they want when they want them....the terrorists in France got fully automatic weapons, a rocket propelled grenade launcher, and hand grenades....dittos for the terrorist in Belgium.....and these are attacks that occurred recently, there have been more gun attacks in gun controlled France....as well as gun controlled Canada, gun controlled Australia, and gun controlled Puerto Rico.....

The only people who can't get guns in strict gun controlled France are the people who won't use them to break the law or murder innocent people....the criminals have no problem getting guns when they want them......

Gun control laws do not work....well, let me rephrase that....gun control laws do work to keep guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens but do nothing to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and terrorists....

Belgium is on the West side of Europe.....away from the active war zones....and yet guns pass through all of those other countries to get to Belgium...where French and Belgium terrorists get them.......

Gun control does not work...it only endangers law abiding citizens......

If France and Canada, Australia and Britian have lower gun murder rates than we do...that is only because their criminals have decided not to use guns to murder people......when they change their minds about that....they will get guns and they will murder people with them no matter what gun control laws they have...as was shown in Canada, France, Belgium, Australia...and Norway, and South Korea, ....and all the other countries that disarm law abiding citizens....

and another thing....more Americans than ever before now own and carry guns for protection.......and the gun crime rate is going down, not up, and the gun accident rate is going down, not up......so we have the same number of gun laws....and more law abiding citizens are carrying guns, 11.1 million people, and the gun violence rate is down.

How is that .....because you can give law abiding citizens guns....and they won't commit crimes with them.....so again, gun control has no bearing on the rate of law abiding citizens committing crimes.....

lock up violent criminals, and give longer sentences for felons who use guns to commit crimes...that is how you lower the gun murder rate.......

Where have I ever said that....or even tried to say that......self defense is combat, and the good guys don't always win...but when the good guys are unarmed, in the face of violent armed criminals...the good guys die more often....for example...the journalists at the French magazine....only the cop had a gun...and he died because he was ambushed by the three terrorists with automatic weapons...which are illegal in France...and there was a gun store that was robbed...the two owners fought off 3 robbers, but the husband was killed....but...the criminals were fought off because they had a chance because of the good guys had guns....

and the guy at the walmart...he tried to stop the armed criminals....but got shot from behind.....

Guns give you a chance but they aren't magic.....you are in combat, and victory isn't guaranteed, but defeat is, when you face violent, aggressive killers who have no empathy, compassion or remorse and you are unarmed......
