The only places in America plagued by high rates of violent crime are those with severe gun control laws, particularly where citizens have been effectively disarmed. As for so-called domestic terror, all but one of the significant instances of mass shootings in the last few decades occurred in gun-free zones. The best check against crime and domestic terrorism is a well-armed citizenry.
