"Nationwide, forcible rape was down 10.6 percent, burglary was down 8.1 percent, murder was down 6.9 percent, and aggravated assault was down 6.6 percent from the previous period. Arson plunged a staggering 15.6 percent.

"The number of murders plunged the deepest in cities with a population of more than 1 million citizens, which reported a 18.5 percent drop.

"Overall, violent crime dropped 5.4 percent, with the largest drop in non-metropolitan areas, which saw a 10.5 drop in overall violent crime, and a 13 percent drop in murders."

So the other thread in this forum that states gun sales have plummeted...that's a lie.

Here's the reality.

Face it, we have a large (but overall, minority) population of people who are committed to spreading lies, in the interests of destroying our country and our people.

Violent crimes plummeted in 2013 as gun sales skyrocketed - Bearing Arms

The TRUTH is that when we abide by the Constitution, we are a freer people.

Here's a relationship between gun ownership and violent crime...

How Gun Ownership Affects Violent Crime

Indeed......and did Harvard University shut the door on the debate last April or what????

Published in the Journal of Law and Public Policy ( April 2013), the conclusions were definitive........

more guns = less crime

Many people believe that owning guns only increases the amount of crime. However, a recent study published in the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy concluded that there is a negative correlation between gun ownership and violent crime in countries internationally. In other words, the more guns the less crime. The study showed that nations with strict gun control laws have substantially higher murder rates than those who do not. In fact, the 9 European nations with the lowest gun ownership rate have a combined murder rate that is three times that of the nine European nations with the highest gun ownership rate.

The gun grabbers are pwned. HERE is the full paper >>>

The very nature of their absence whenever the facts are published indicates they are not engaged in national debate, but rather a focused push to disarm the people.

They want the people disarmed so they cannot defend themselves. That is always the sole motivation behind disarming a population.

I'm helping the percentage to skyrocket. Just bought the M&P 15 a month ago. Bought the Chinese SKS 3 years ago. Went to the Dixie Gun & Knife show this weekend and got 500 .223 rounds for $210 and 500 7.62x39 rounds for $100. Sweet.

From your link, dingbat.

covering January to June of 2013.

From my link:

Background checks by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, considered to be the most accurate means of tracking gun sales, plunged by a third in January compared to the year before. There were about 1.66 million background checks last month, and nearly 2.5 million in January the year before.

Cabela's (CAB), a retailer of guns and hunting gear, said on Thursday that its same-store sales plunged 10.1% in the fourth quarter, compared to a year ago. This was partly to do with guns, and largely to do with ammunition, according to the company.

An honest thread:

It's kind of funny how the Obamanoids use the Snowpocalypse to explain the horrible economic performance last quarter...but then cannot make the logical leap that gun stores (being brick and mortar retailers) were likewise affected.
