A federal complaint examined by The Gazette paints a picture of a conspiracy that came to light last year when an unnamed firearms dealer in Eastern Iowa became suspicious of large purchases of handguns, rifles and ammunition and tipped off authorities.

An investigation into the tip revealed additional purchases at other dealers — all made legally — and led authorities to the four defendants and to Tuesday’s raids.

So....anti-gun nuts.....they bought all these guns legally.......not one of your stupid gun laws stopped them.....what stopped them.....a gun store owner.......

Wednesday, a longtime employee of a former tenant of the Herz family said the video and charges belie the image they portrayed.

“That family was probably the most anti-gun family I’ve met,” said Andrew Becker, an employee at CR Cell Phone Repair.

The business used to operate out of the Pizza Daddy building, 1539 First Ave. SE, which is among the locations raided Tuesday. Ali Herz is the brother of the pizza restaurant’s owner.

Becker and CR Cell Phone Repair owner Jacob Long said that during their two years of renting there, they got to know the family. And they did not approve of guns on the property.

“They really didn’t want us to have them there,” Becker said. “It made them really uncomfortable. That’s a huge shift, to go from not liking them to theoretically shipping them to somebody.”

This isn't strange behavior from anti gun people...the Giffords, anti gunners, have guns themselves, the super gun grabber, Mayor Bloomberg...has armed protection...in fact, he has a home on an island somewhere, and guns are prohibited on the island to the point that even police don't carry guns....but gun grabber mayor bloomberg paid the right government officials and got an exemption that allows only his private security to carry guns on the island......and recently a democrat politician a rabid anti gunner...arrested for shooting a gun during a domestic dispute.....
