I don't understand how the perp was able to get his arsenal up to the top floor of the casino.

Casinos have cameras all around, they keep an eye on all of the suckers. How could someone sneak that much stuff on to their premises without security knowing? And how about the housekeepers?

How did he get it to the room? Simple: He disassembles the weapons and puts them in suitcases. No hotel receptionist anywhere is going to inspect luggage. I'm not saying that's how he did it, but it's certainly incredibly plausible.

As for housekeeping, ever see a "DO NOT DISTURB" sign? I almost always have one hanging on my door. Why? Because I don't want people screwin' with my stuff. I'll stop a housekeeper in the hall, ask for some coffee and fresh towels, and they never come to my room...
