Yeah this was the battle cry of conservatives for a decade. What happened cons? You give up on this now that YOU will have to give up your pork? Pearls before swine. Come on, call your Congressmen and tell them your number one priority is a balanced budget. Wasn't that the whole reason for forming the Tea Party? Cut taxes, balance the budget (two things that are mutually exclusive by the way), and stop spending?

Well, with the GOP and Trump both caving in on the budget and funding the government at almost the same levels as what Obama wanted until Sept, kinda shows me that they really don't care about balancing the budget. They just used that as a rally cry to try to stay elected.

But...............by next mid terms, we'll know what they are REALLY about, and there might be a GOP slaughter in 2018.

And most of it will be because of Trump.

Balanced budget amendment? What about a budget that doesn't have bigger deficits than the previous one for a start. Trumps tax plan means bigger deficits, while the idea of a balanced budget amendment sounds like wanting what they're doing to be illegal, but until then, they want to keep on doing it.
