She'll get the female vote, but she'll risk losing the youth and all the new people brought into the party if she doesn't choose Bernie. I can't see anyone else shoring up her support anywhere near what Bernie can. She needs him in order to get her unfavorable down! .

Bernie would give her strength on the issue of trade and make her look less dirty. She might even attempt to be less dirty. We can't afford a loserterian ownership of government...cutting science, infrastructure and allowing pollution of our air, water and food isn't the way to make America great.

She has a chance to stop the loserterians if she has Bernie sanders....Sorry, but no one else will do.

no.

I don't think it would be hypocritical for Sanders to take the veep spot anymore than George Bush Sr. Teaming up with Ronald 'voodoo economics' Reagan.

However, and this is my opinion, I'm kind of Sander'd out. He is not a coalition builder. I'd like to see an Elizabeth Warren, Amy Klobuchar or Sherrod Brown if it's important to have a guy on the ticket. All 3 are trusted by progressives and there really aren't that many in the middle to appease, it's about bringing out the base, for that I agree with the OP.

Nope she's a lot smarter than that. Bernie Sanders would be a 5 ton anchor around her neck. Republicans would use his radical rhetoric and his praising one of the most brutal murderous dictators to come out of the 20th century, Fidel Castro to defeat her. IOW it wouldn't be about her policies, it would be about his.

Look while I understand that Millennials don't have a clue about who Fidel Castro is, I can assure you that the largest generation in this nation's history, remember him well, and know exactly what he did. He is responsible for the death of thousands of innocents, and imprisoning thousands more for life for just speaking out against him. He executed teachers and scientists, burned books, seized private property and assets, then executed the owners, while thousands more died in homemade rafts trying to get to the Florida coast. This is the real Bernie Sanders--and Republicans would make that very well known. He is sooooo much more than your average run of the mill socialists. Frankly, he's a communist.
Bernie Sanders heaped praise on Fidel Castro in 1985 interview

The reason for 714 Democrat Super Delegates is 1984. They are there to prevent another Bernie Sander's type candidate. This country is center, it always has been, it always will be. It will not elect far left or far right candidates, much less a recognized and confirmed socialist that is out there campaigning on free college tuition, while expanding Federal Government spending by another 29 trillion dollars when we're already 19 trillion in RED ink. The most liberal Democrat in Washington D.C would never vote for that, let alone any Republican.

Bernie Sanders is the epitome of what politicians do that have no accomplishment or real record to run on. He comes out of the gate make all kinds of promises that he knows with absolute certainty don't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting through congress. He has exploited the political ignorance of his supporters for donations and votes.

So if Sanders was the nominee of this party, here's what you could expect on election night. Just move the blue part over to Vermont.

Reagan was told he had to take Bush as VP...no arm twisting on Bush's part. A little over two months after Reagan is put in office, he is shot by the son of a very good friend of Bush....but I'm sure it was just a coincidence as these things happen and all.

Seriously, the Bush crime family are beyond evil.....and I do mean evil personified.

Ha.Ha.--Reagan was shot by a nutcase, no association to G.H.W. Bush--LOL

We agree that Reagan was kind of a tool. But judging by your post, so are you.

I thought Bill already had the inside track for the job posting ...

I know you are joking, but I also know that there are some people out there who think Bill could actually become Vice President. To those people I say: It can't happen

According to the U.S. Constitution, Bill Clinton could never become Hillary's Vice President. First, the Constitution provides that a Vice President cannot be elected if he/she is constitutional ineligible to the office of President. Second, the Constitution provides that no person can hold the office of President for more than two terms. Therefore, since Bill Clinton has served two terms as President he cannot hold that office again, and since he is unqualified for the office of the presidency he cannot become Vice President. The relevant portions of the Constitution are found in Amendments XII and XXII and they are provided below.

Amendment XII
“The person having the greatest number of votes as Vice-President, shall be the Vice-President, if such number be a majority of the whole number of Electors appointed, and if no person have a majority, then from the two highest numbers on the list, the Senate shall choose the Vice-President; a quorum for the purpose shall consist of two-thirds of the whole number of Senators, and a majority of the whole number shall be necessary to a choice. But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States” (emphasis my own).

Amendment XXII
Section 1
“No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.”

The chances of getting Hillary and Sanders in the same room, much less on the same ticket, are slim to none.

But, on the bright side, that would make the average IQ in that room about 1.5.

Of course I was joking. Bill, also, can not be Speaker of the House, nor any other position in the official line of succession. That will not stop him from running around the West Wing, bedding every intern, and dictating policy to the Hillary groupie crowd.
