"That bump is likely to start showing itself over the next few days and will last for a while," pollster Tony Fabrizio said in a memo circulated to reporters by Trump's campaign.
Candidates often expect a bump after formally accepting their party's nomination at stage-managed, televised conventions such as the one that Trump had last week. But the poll showed no sign of that.

Bump or not, the most recent Reuters/Ipsos poll underscored the rationale for Biden dropping out of the race and for Harris replacing him on the ticket.

You really dont want to use the national polling average as a measuring stick. That statistic tells you virtually nothing about who is going to win. Both sides fall into this trap. Its a meaningless statistic, unless there is a difference of like 8-10 nationally, THEN it might tell you something, but when the opponents are this close in the national average, it doesnt tell you anything at all.

As of right now, Trump is dominating the electoral count. It isnt even close, but the national average would lead you to believe that it is.

I heard the the poll was heavily into questioning Democrats for their poll. That is not a reliable poll because it was ignoring Republican voters to the max. The American people are not amused when they are unfairly treated to calculations desired by partisan leftists rather than the truth. Ms. Harris may be a nice person, but ignoring the border states altogether was a big mistake and evidence that when it comes to national security it becomes a security threat when those in charge do not provide security for the American people who fund their paychecks with high taxation sans representation.
