House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries: "Extreme MAGA Republicans are driving us to a government shutdown."

Congress is the most dysfunctional and greedy organization in America

Think if it, Trump thought he could make the market in Atlantic City and the casinos went bankrupt. He gave up equity to his lenders to make them whole. US Congress just keeps on spending our money and reap multimillion dollar rewards from lobbyists and Insider trading

How Congress operates and how the government is funded are the 2 main problems

In the first bill they wanted to give themselves a pay raise, and shield Liz, and Adam’s emails from scrutiny, all while screaming “no one is above the law “… What a bunch of shit.

Time to spank the children dems, and put them in the corner.

Pertinent facts that debunks many of the lies already posted about the "garbage and nonsense" these MAGA idiots are taking away from the American people....

You're playing with American citizens ' money.

Keep it up.
I assume you mean the federal “workers?”

I’m concerned about the American taxpayers, the sweat of whose brows funds the lucrative sinecures of these pampered FEDEMPs.

If they truly had a mandate, they'd be able to do it on their own.

Wouldn't they?

Not really. The D's still have control of the Presidency and Senate for another month. Which is fine, BTW. But no reason for anyone to let these ne'er do wells any influence on anything happening next year

It seems the Progs are still in their old ways. It would have looked good to show some "unity". Whatever happens we have a 1.8 trillion-dollar annual deficit and a trillion dollars a year in interest payments on the debt.

“I’m not just a no, I’m a hell no.” he says, after saying that the Musk-Johnson proposal is not serious.

One thing you can expect whenever Republicans are in charge are government shutdowns.

Since we've got a national debt of 36 trillion dollars, a government shutdown is probably what we need.

Democrats will shut down the government unless we spend money that we have to borrow (again for like the 500th time in a row)? I assume that you are as furious as the rest of us.

Republicans have the majority in the House. They do not need the Democrats to pass a bill.

We shouldnt have a single dissenting voice on this matter. Why arent you furious at democrats for pushing for ANOTHER bill that we have to borrow the money for?

This country will not survive if only one side is against blowing out the budget. Unless democrat voters begin holding their representitives responsible for it, we will go bankrupt. That is simply a fact, but democrat voters clearly dont give a flying fuck about it, so we are totally fucked.

Most of them have their staff do the reading, they can't be bothered with the grunt work. Also most will let the leadership tell them how to vote, so why bother to spend the time trying to read the bill. They don't write it, lobbyist do that. They don't understand most of language anyway because it references existing laws that they're making changes to and they don't pull those laws to see how the changes effect them. But you're right, they should be required to actually write the laws in the committees and subcommittees so they know what's what. And don't even get me started on the patriot act, it's a real POS.

.
Believe me I certainly understand that reading such material can be quite challenging, particularly if one does not comprehend every detail and lacks the patience for further research to gain a better understanding but isn't this a part of what they get paid for?

I was under the impression that most of them are attorneys so they should have better reading comprehension abilities than the average American right?
