Under capitalism profits are always being reduced toward $0 thanks to free competition. Thus, the wealth created is always being redistributed to consumers and workers. This is how 100 million Americans are able to afford the new fangled ultra sophisticated smartphone technology toys at $135/month. Not only does capitalism distribute wealth almost perfectly but it also forces the creation and production of it. After all, if you want to make a huge contribution to society or enjoy a huge standard of living about the best way to do it is to create and produce a new product, and then enjoy the profits from it before the competition instantly swoops in to take them away from you.

What a crock of shyte, that has nothing to do with american "capitalism".

care to explain what you mean??

Capitalism in american life today is all about wealth concentration and extraction out of society, you may have heard something about it? Mindless vague utopian cheerleading will not alter what people observe, the substantial people have pushed it too far again, just like they did in the 1920's. There will be a reckoning of some type, it's unsustainable unless the substantial people expect to go back into palaces and castles leaving the rabble to chaos.

whats vague??? GM IBM Ford etcetc are all one tiny step ahead of the competition and don't know if they will survive or go under like 10,000 others do every month in America. Do you understand?

The only part of your post that's partially correct is the last sentence. Profits are not "reduced" toward $0 due to free competition. Patents, trademarks and a whole range of moats ensure that this doesn't happen. Tell Apple that their profits are "always being reduced toward $0" thanks to free competition. The second someone tries to rip off Apple or copy them, they are sued into oblivion. They are extraordinary well protected, which is very rare for a tech company. This is how it works for many top companies.

Yes, there is some competition, but only up to a certain extent. At certain points, due to the protections in place that some of these companies have, there is no "real" competition for some companies. Those are the ones I like to buy stock in, because they are such solid investments.

Only a tiny fraction of large corporation's profits are "redistributed" to workers. This notion that capitalism distributes wealth almost perfectly is so far out of left field that you may as well be writing from another planet. Your statements have virtually nothing to do with the harsh, cold reality of capitalism and how it works.

1) if there was insurance we would not have 10,000 bankruptcies each month
2) we want patents to encourage new inventions

dear, Jobs is dead, the watch is dead, the Iphone 7 is predicted to be a dud, Samsung has patents on projector watches and phones, and price of Apple stock is less than 10 times earnings meaning owners have no confidence in its future. They are under huge pressure you just don't know it!!

China just switched to it from liberalism and instantly eliminated 40% of the entire planets poverty. How is that for the harsh cold reality of capitalism????

Free competition. Lol. What's next? Tell us about the Tooth Fairy?

Capitalism distributes wealth somewhat more evenly than feudalism. But it needs democratic controls to keep it from rapidly devolving back to the feudal state (as it has 1981-present)

100 million new super high tech smart phone in America is unbelievable distribution of wealth. Think about it

So... I out of every three Americans has one? How many are paid for with welfare?

Think about it.

The problem with capitalism is keeping it capitalism, and to do that we have to have laws regulating capitalism.
