I don’t want to rely on G-d to fix it. i don’t believe he can control people’s attitudes and bigotry. WE have to fix it. But easier said than done.I see, so you are a Jew.

See, both Christian and Jew believes that the Messiah needs to come to put things right.
In the interim, I believe God can use us to help make things more tolerable, but fixing all the problems is not one of those things, rather, that is a God shaped power we are incapable of.
Trust me when I say, we don't have the knowledge or power to fix how screwed up the whole situation really is. Luckily, we are not even capable of knowing how screwed up things really are.
Perhaps we can increase the punishment for hate crimes - especially assaults. A conviction carries a minimum sentence of two years, as an example.
