That is not good enough. Books like The Bell Curve are rarely peer reviewed. Stephen J. Gould's book The Mismeasure of Man is often considered to be a refutation of The Bell Curve. It was not peer reviewed.

I am not sure that no universities teach The Bell Curve. If it is true, that is a matter of fashion and censorship.

The assertions of The Bell Curve are intuitive. First, intelligence is the most important factor determining academic and economic success, and other favorable events in life. Second, intelligence is primarily determined genetically. Third, people in some races tend to have more intelligence than people in other races.

No amount of social reform and social welfare spending during the last two generations has discredited those three assertions.

No method has been found that transforms a child who scored poorly on an IQ test at the age of seven into a brilliant student and a successful professional.
