it’s important for the American people to understand what the definition is of socialism. And it's certainly not how Donald Trump defines it

it means a vibrant democracy and an economy that works for all, not just the people on top

There are a lot of democratic socialists in the Democratic Party. There are now, and there always have been

there's only one way to fix the system and that is to tear it up, and americans are on board doing that

Socialism, but in Iowa

Democrats are the authoritarians. “Do as we say, or else!”

A bunch of millennials in Iowa with no concept of reality professes the virtues of Marxism and Lenin, and you count this as a victory? Maybe you should actually read your own link:

“You don’t have to understand theory to understand Marxism,” as Schoonover, the Central Iowa co-chair, put it to me later in an interview. “You know that your boss takes advantage of you, that your landlord takes advantage of you. You know that you’re in debt, you know that you pay too much for health care. You don’t need to sit around and talk with a bunch of snobs about that to understand it.”

“There’s actually a really great quote by Lenin that says, ‘You have to be as extreme as the reality you confront,’” Casey Erixon, a 27-year-old DSA member, said one night at a bar on Ingersoll Avenue in Des Moines.

Yea, those are well-founded individuals with a real answer, right? Hardly. They're kind enough to sum up with their "mission statement", and it reveals all: They're just another flock of typical Dims who think the world owes them a living. They're not pro-anything, their foundation is purely TDS drivel:

“We are facing, as a city and as a state and country, systemic problems that require solutions all across the board,” Rob Shaw told the Iowa City chapter members before they embarked on their door-knocking mission. “The only way we’re going to do that is if we actually organize a base that can respond to more than one problem.”

“What do these problems stem from?” asked Alex Loehrer, the co-chair, from across the table. “Do you want to say it for the record?”

“Fuck capitalism,” Shaw replied with a smile. The chapter members cheered.

3 families at the top own more wealth than the bottom 90 percent, that's 300 million americans

income and wealth inequality is greater than today than all of the past 100 years

folks are desperately trying to survive.

500K Americans are homeless, including vets. 4 million americans live in poverty.

who are we? BETTER THAN THIS! who are we? BETTER THAN THIS! who are we? BETTER THAN THIS! who are we? BETTER THAN THIS!

Words have meanings and you are not the authority anyone should look to for definitions.

so·cial·ism
/ˈsōSHəˌlizəm/

  1. a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.

Results of 45 years of far left radicals who love socialism.

U.S. unemployment averaged a rate of 18 percent during Roosevelt’s first eight years in office. In the decade of the 1930s, U.S. industrial production and national income fell by about almost one-third. In 1940, after year eight years of the New Deal, unemployment was still averaged 14 percent.

The unemployment rate was more than twice as high eight years into the New Deal than it is today,

Almost everything FDR did to jump-start growth retarded it, just like Obama's administration did.

when Harry Truman introduced his dream of health care for all, the AMA introduced Reagan as their pitchman.

No, it doesn't. It gives control of the economy to the same politicians who are selling us out to the oligarchy. How do you think that will work out?

they may hate democratic socialism because it enriches the poor, but they love corporate socialism which benefits Trump and his overlords on wall street
