It turns out SCOTUS has decided that the gov'ts overwhelming application of the law that they arrested so many under has been used incorrectly, INCLUDING against Donald Trump.

They basically tried to apply an evidence-tampering statute to HUNDREDS of Jan 6th defendants who simply were attending the Jan 6th incident.

This too isn't surprising, but it can't be finalized until the president is chosen.

Then it will be finalized and decided according to presidential powers.

This is only one issue in the shopping baskets of the two parties. There are dozens more.

Of most critical importance of all issues, is the war against Russia.

Jackson's concurring opinion was a rather pathetic red herring though. No doubt that fascist Garland will attempt to continue his persecution of out hand protesters, the new burden is simply too high for the government to actually act upon.

That dufus Smith is also pretending this is no obstacle, which is just more fantasy and disappointment on the horizon.

The Supreme court just ruled on Jan 6. This just came out. Is it true?

The Jan. 6 insurrection

The ruling: The Supreme Court ruled that federal prosecutors improperly charged hundreds of Jan. 6 defendants with obstruction. Here’s what’s next for the Jan. 6 riot probe after the Supreme Court’s decision.

The report: The Jan. 6 committee released its final report, marking the culmination of an 18-month investigation into the violent insurrection

A couple of threads on this already.

And yes, the ruling is they cannot automatically charge them with obstruction.

Not really a huge deal

The bad thing is those wrongly-convicted will sue the US and the taxpayers will be on the hook and not the criminal democrats that are responsible.

Was it not just one defendant, and not hundreds?
