Huh, some tariff facts, of course left out by our traitorous American hating media.

Anyone else seeing anything wrong with that? No eh? The thing the left just hate, other than a successful Trump presidency, is seeing America becoming great again.

America trading from a position of strength. We have been the world's punching bag. Every time there is a disaster anywhere in the world, America brings more relief than every other country combined.

The Paris Accord, designed to bring down the west (the free market.)

Go ahead and explain why those figures up with Canada was so fair for the US over the last quarter of a century.

Well, left wing morons, we are all waiting.

Remember the left still credits obama for recovering the economic recession that the democrats caused.

Yes, globalization outsourced all the goods mentioned , with American manufacturing followed suit, resulting in America becoming a debtor vs. producer nation with our GND exceeding our GNP

Another tax (which is all a tariff is) simply equates to what manufacturing we have left LEAVING

Very good OP. The so-called "free traders" don't seem to mind high tariffs when other countries impose them on the U.S.! Where were the free traders when nations around the world imposed sky-high tariffs on U.S. imports? You didn't hear a peep from them. But now that the U.S. finally has a president who is retaliating and protecting American business and jobs the same way that China and the EU and others protect theirs, you'd think the world was ending.

Idk about "democrats" causing the housing bubble almost depression thing. Irresponsible bipartisan government, yes.

Just Democrats? No. H.W. Bush drafted NAFTA and Clinton signed it on the way out as a big bah fongula to all Americans.

I think both should be hanged.

As for "The Press" they're fucking dishonest bastards. Just let one honest news organization come about, and they'll be done.

Well, the Democrats repeatedly blocked GOP efforts to rein in Freddie and Fannie. Bush even warned about federal intervention in the housing market in his 2005 SOTU address.

On the other hand, Bush signed Sarbanes-Oxley, which included the disastrous mark-to-market (MTM) regulation. MTM played a major role in causing the recession--at the bare minimum, it made the recession far worse than it should have been.

I would like to see a similar comparison with China, Japan, South Korea, and Germany.

It was MAINLY caused by democrat policies.

First, in 1995 clinton rewrote the Community Reinvestment Act. That put significant pressure on banks to lend to low income neighborhoods.

Second, a bipartisan move, but it was clinton that repealed Glass Steagall. He also signed the Commodity Futures Modernization Act, which exempted default swaps from regulation.

Also, the Fannie and Freddie debacle headed by Frank the faggot and Dodd. Finally, the democratic took power of congress in 2007 and then DELIBERATELY ignored all warnings about the bubble in 2008. That, is in official White House archives.

The democrats had control from 2007 till 2010. They then started losing control beginning in 2010, then in 2014, and of course 2016.

And the left credit obama and the democrats.

The Left are only pissed because they know Trump knows what he's doing and is going to MAGA.

This ain't Europe, bubba. We'll move the whole means of manufacturing here. :fu:

Jobs, jobs, jobs!

Nice to see you parroting globalist propaganda, and nice to see you sticking up for the ungrateful American corporations that are threatening to move operations overseas because they won't make quite as much profit after tariffs (luckily, such corporations are the exception, not the rule). Gee, Harley Davidson didn't mind tariffs at all when Reagan slapped a 45% tariff on Japanese motorcycles to save Harley Davidson from bankruptcy in 1983. Nope, Harley praised high tariffs to the hilt.

Harley Davidson, like all other American companies, just had their corporate income rate cut from 35% to 21%. And they can't afford to use American-made steel? They can't afford not to sell their motorcycles in the EU? Really?
