For years, GM has paid virtually no federal and state income taxes, but now they wanna take their marbles and play overseas because they supposedly can't afford to pay for American-made steel and other American-made materials.

Fair is a myth, a story told to children to make them feel better about life. Nothing in life is "fair" and fair should never a goal because fair is always in the eye of the beholder. No doubt Canada would say it is fair to have tariffs just like we say it is fair for us to subsidize our dairy industry to the tune of 70% of their revenue.

Trade deals should be mutually beneficial, both sides should benefit from them.
