I kind of figured this was how Congress worked, but now tulsi gabbard has actually admitted it.

No surprise. Thank god I don’t belong to either party. It’s about money, power and influence. Serving the people my ass....

The Huffington Post secured this slide from a PowerPoint presentation to incoming freshmen by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. The slide supposedly lays out the optimum schedule for a new member of Congress. It's depressing:

Congressional whistler blower.

I've heard stories like these before from the likes of Ron Paul, Dennis Kucinich, and Cynthia McKinney.

Occasionally the public gets lucky. Not often. But it happens. It doesn't matter what party either, it happens in both.

A good clue is, if after they have been there a year or two the corporate media is hurling personal attacks about them, not about their policy positions?

There is a good chance they are not falling in line and are an independent thinker.

IN a few years they will smear this Tulsi Gabbard woman so that not only will Republicans hate her, Democrats will be embarrassed of her so she has no chance to aspire to anything more.

And if they STILL can't get rid of her, they will just redistrict her out of her seat like they do with all the others. Or else primary her out.

The story is getting king of old by now.

Tulsi would make a good high school administrator. The fact that cleaning up the beach was the highlight of her childhood is troubling. She should have demand the mayor allocate funds to hire Mexicans or whatever to clean up the beach and fine individuals who litter. Tulsi is delusional though. Everyone knows the democrats are racist Europhobes. Jewish and Black folks get taught in their houses of worship the Whitey is their enemy and they must stick together to defeat Whitey. Naive Republicans sometimes run against a democrat controlled voting area only to realize later they are called devils, etc., by the democrat opposition at their places of worship and thus many do not run against Democrats at all. But yeah, Tulsi is clueless and delusional and stated nothing that everyone does not already know.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad she is addressing this.

I would welcome working with her to set up a system of representation
by party to create a safe venue for parties to bring ideas, and objections,
together to address the CONTENT and SOLUTIONS first, then format
ways to implement areas of agreement into the given system we have.

If we hand to the leaders of govt and parties SOLUTIONS already put
together, then they don't have to resort to bullying games of coercion
and exclusion. We have to make it safe to support collaborative solutions
that ALL sides can agree on. But this would need to be formed OUTSIDE
the politicized system, by bringing together leaders from all parties
and solutions to compile the best ideas from all sources and to
address and resolve the problems and objections instead of overriding them.

Then maybe you need to watch the whole thing.

Not every white person thinks like you do.

Thus, it is logical that not every black person thinks the same, and not every Jewish person is out to get you.

Tulsi is very bright and personable. She'd make a great high end hotel/restaurant regional manager.

Close Likkmee the way Democrats and Greens believe in using Govt to manage nationalized social programs,
we might do better to create a position for Facilitators just to be in charge of mediating between these
social justice oriented parties, coordinate WHICH programs should be managed by party per state,
and WHICH policies are agreed on nationally to merit implementation and funding through federal govt.

We do need someone open to collaboration and inclusion, such as Tulsi Gabbard seems to fit this role and leadership style.

I would just make it clear that the POINT of the process is to SEPARATE what belongs to the jurisdiction of "people and States"
and what is really authorized for federal govt to regulate under the 18 enumerated power in the Constitution
and anything else that people/States CONSENT to relegate to federal authorities.

Everything else that is better managed on local levels where people and/or parties can decide their OWN
policies, programs and terms of funding also needs facilitating to shift such programs back to States.

Perhaps with the demand to reform the Electoral College, that system can be used to divide Electoral votes
of each state "proportionally" to reflect their populations' votes by party. Then the Electors representing
each party proportionally for each district, could form a parliamentary type coalition or Union of party reps
and leaders, and serve as consultants between the people and the officials and offices of each level of govt.

Instead of an adversarial process, the purpose of bringing together reps from all parties would be collaborative.
To redress grievances, and resolve conflicts and objections that otherwise obstruct proposed policies and reforms.
And to either recommend agreed solutions to the appropriate govt offices, or spell out terms of separating
funding and jurisdiction where parties cannot agree due to conflicting beliefs that govt cannot force them to change.
