I want a choice, dammit.

All this talk and speculation about who would win against Obama.

I don't want Obama to win. He is bad, very bad, for this country. He has to lose.

But, I don't want to write myself in against him because that is a wasted vote.

The GOP better give me a fucking choice. If they are smart, they will let the idiots be the frontmen who will receive the barrage of lies and spins against them from the drooling idiots. Then, they can do what the Dems did last - bring in an unknown at pretty much the 11th hour. Let the drooling idiots scramble to find something, but by then the election will be over.

It's a gamble on yet another unknown, but considering where we are today, I'll take that bet.

I'm supporting Mitt Romney.
I'm not a fan of his, but I would go that route, too.

Last election I was fully behind Rudy then he fucked up his strategy.

so was I.

the right will vote for who they are told to vote for.

The left will splinter because Obama seems to have been bought out.

Then we will have a glorious march to third world status while the right cheers

What kind of music?

We got all kinds of music.

Country AND western

Choice?

What? Are tired of having to choose between Tweedle-dumb and tweedle-dumber?

Welcome to America, citizen.

Last election I was fully behind Rudy then he fucked up his strategy and lost the nomination. Then, I had little choice. Again.

What strategy?

Every one of his speeches consisted of "NOUN, VERB, 9/11".

He was the shittiest candidate in the line-up, including McQuisling and the Huckster.
He blew off Florida and that cost him the nomination.

That's what I'm getting at....He had no strategy.

He thought he could say "9/11" enough times and that would get him elected.

Right. But, IMO, the state that killed him was Florida.

The REAL left splintered off from the Dems during the Kennedy Admin, TM.

the NEW REAL LEFT is just now beginning to understand WHY the OLD REAL LEFT abandoned the Dems before most of them were even born.

There is no LEFT in American politics.

There are a variety of rightests each seeking to form a more perfect totalitarian form of goverment.

All this mindless fucking blather about individualism and capitalism and socialism is just so much claptrap.

Neither party stands for what it claims to stand for.

They just talk talk talk about it until they're in power and then they BOTH do the same damned things.

Considering what Obama faced on day one of his administration, and the concerted effort on your side of the aisle to work to make him fail, I find no reason (as in reasonable) cause for anyone to assert he is bad for this country.

You may disagree with him on policy and/or ideology, but "bad" is hyperbole and seems more emotional than rational. What would a McCain/Palin administration have done differently, and what do you think would have been the accomplished? What has Obama done that is 'bad'?
Well, as I was one of the volunteers for Obama's inauguration, I wanted him to do a good job.

He sucks at his job on so many levels my making the long list would derail this thread about choice, so yeah, at this point he is bad. He has had plenty of time, and he sucks.

Yep. Sucks has it in a nutshell.

The 2 party system, supported fully by the media, makes it far to difficult for anyone not fully devoted to either party to get known.

Obama can't lead, he simply lacks the skills. He's so bad that many people think anyone can beat him. Like Carter beat Ford, and Obama beat McCain. The dnc putting up anyone is a win for them.

We simply can't afford to put anyone up there. That person must understand the debt level is nuts, spending is out of control, government is to big and that central planning is the worste idea ever for any country.

all the social issues must be back burner until the country is stable.

Sadly, no one gives a shit.

The liberals will invent civil rights issues and the social conservatives will dog thier issues to the front. W/o the support of these tyrants, no wanna be stands a chance.

All very true.

I am an optimist, perhaps pathetically so, though.

"He Sucks" isn't a reasonable response. You made that judgment, and several people thanked you for your response (which I find incredible), I don't.

In the context of this thread, it sure is. If you want to discuss my list of facts to says such a thing, we can start another thread which, no doubt would be a highly populated one.

But, I'm not participating in derailing a thread about choice.

We are living in a country founded on principles never before seen in the history of mankind. Our founding fathers risking everything to go against the most powerful government at that time, prevailed and what emerged was a nation were all men were created equal and a government by and for the people prospered.

Somewhere along the way the true America has been lost. We are now a cooperation and the very ideas of freedom and democracy have been replaced by greed, power, and profit. The politicians who are at the upper echelon levels of our Government are simply commodities bought and sold at will by the board of directors of the power elite that run this country as a business always striving to fatten its profit margin.

Choice? We have not had a real choice in a very long time. Right now this power elite already know who will be placed in the White House next. Being Republican or Democrat matters not to them for their new puppet will continue to push the agenda that best suits them.
