then why doesn't he say so himself? Nothing about it came up in the last debate, even after Palin had been traveling around the country making just that point.

Why doesn't McCain denounce Obama and even make an effort to get him on a terrorist watch list?

:eusa_eh:

because McCain is a pussy.

I do think McCain is a limp wristed sort and based on the fact that he is willing to walk away from his ideals to claim he is bi-partisan I can't vote for him.

He has his people attack Obama so he can look Presidential and above the fray. The last debate was not the time to bring this up, although I think we will see it in the next debate if the numbers stay the same.

Were you surprised?"

McCain: "Yeah. And I was surprised at the dot-com collapse, and I was surprised at other times in our history – I don't know if 'surprised' is the word, but –"

"I'd like to tell you I did anticipate it, but I have to give you straight talk, I did not."

So yes, McCain said the mortgage crisis surprised him. And he concluded by acknowledging flat-out that he did not anticipate the crisis. So there is certainly truth to Biden's accusation.

Keep in mind that he said over and over that the "fundamentals of our economy are strong". He said it over and over again. Had he said it once, maybe I could give him the benefit of the doubt, but he said it day after day, even though the economy was crashing around him, and he never clarified until it was too late. So no way I'm buying it that he meant the American people. He would have clarified that. And, the GOP have been saying the economy was strong for the past 7 years. Are we to believe they meant the American workers? :cuckoo:

No one knew this crisis was coming. No one except Jim Cramer.

Heh, I think McCain is surprised by a lot of things, including the fact that Obama is on the stage with him during the debates.

I've been saying for a while.... If Obama is a terrorist and a muslim like some people are claiming, what does it say about McCain that he's losing to a muslim terrorist? :cuckoo:

Because McCain is a little chicken ass school girl who's afraid to say it to obama's face.

I don't know how the fuck McCain was raised, but the way I was raised you say that shit to somebody's face.

LOL - Obama is even challenging the shuffling old man to say it to his face:

BARACK OBAMA: "I am surprised that, you know, we've been seeing some pretty over-the-top attacks coming out of the McCain campaign over the last several days, that he wasn't willing to say it to my face. But I guess we've got one last debate. So presumably, if he ends up feeling that he needs to, he will raise it during the debate."

Because McCain is a horses ass. He has a better chance of calling him a prisoner then a terrorist. I am surprised McCain hasn't started one of his speeches with the line Good Morning Vietnam.

If he said it to Obama's face, you'd all be bitching about how disrespectful he is. McCain can't win with Obamabots. Obama is perfect and McCain is the anti-Christ. Why should he bother appeasing you people?

More bullshit.

McCain knows he can't win on the issues, so he has to smear Obama personally, but it's not working and McCain keeps falling farther and farther behind.

He's won on the issues with me. He's not a socialist who believes that I should give up my hard earned dollar to benefit those not willing to work for theirs.

Except I'm still not voting for him, because he voted for the worst economic bill in history.

She looks kind of scary in your avatar! And McCain forgot who he was about year ago.

Being from the south also (assuming you're from Arkansas), I would think you would understand. You can call someone the most useless, ignorant piece of a pitiful excuse for life east of the Rockies, but you should say it to their face. It's no less disrespectful, nor would it be in the above case, but to do otherwise makes you look weak and too cowardly to stand by your own words.

He's not a socialist who believes that I should give up my hard earned dollar to benefit those not willing to work for theirs.

In my experience, most people who make more than 250,000 per year, almost never have any justifiable reason to call their dollars "hard-earned". Maybe you're the exception jsanders. I'm just glad you're doing so well.

Oh, and one other thing, jsanders. Don't you know Obama is the anti-christ. (By the way, I've seen that e-mail first hand. It's made the rounds)

And I wanted to tell you something jsanders. I came from a fairly poor family. I Iwouldn't call it poverty, and we didn't use any kind of government assistance. We were on a very tight budget. Growing up, my sister was not as "bookish" as I was or I guess "elitist" as I was. I was able to get a scholarship and go to college. She struggled to finish high school. Afterwards, she got a job at a local store. Then she got married and within a year had a child. She worked her ass off. She was injured in a car accident when someone ran a stop sign. They had to rebuild her ankle and lower leg and came very close to amputation. As soon as she was out of the hospital, she found a new job and went back to work full time. I have visited her after work and see her practically have tears streaming down her face from the pain in her leg since her job required her to stand all day. Still she worked full time and so did her husband. But even with that, they could barely stay ahead. Expenses just seemed to constantly outweigh income. Neither of them had a job that offered employee health coverage. If it was not for programs that provided healthcare for children by the state and provided her extra help with groceries, I don't know how she would have gotten by. And I guarantee that every damn dollar she earned was hard-earned.

So when you start pissing on assistance programs, try to remember those who the programs were created for, rather than just the assholes who take advantage.

I don't make more than $250,000 a year. By the time Obama leaves office (if he wins and gets re-elected) I'll be close.

And, most people who make more than $250,000 a year work longer hours than the people working in the coal mines or out in the fields. Tougher hours? No. But longer hours. Bill Gates was known for working 60 hour work weeks. Most executives spend more time in the office than at home. That means time away from their families. Lawyers and accountants (my profession) work two of the most tedious jobs known to man, and I know plenty of both who work 70-80 hours per week.

It seems you have a problem with the rich. No wonder you support Obama. Socialists often stick together.
