A canadian like you with no ancestral ties to Israel - Palestine can visit the country anytime you want while the natives of the land, millions of Palestinians in Gaza, Lebannon and the West Bank would get a bullet in the head if they tried to do the same.

Wait a minute. There are Islamic politicians in Israel. Again, I've heard the attacks against Israel for years in Canada, too many people just accept it. Some of us are more curious about the situation, even if it isn't something i look at often.

No nation is perfect, but you cannot as a Jew try to live in Saudi Arabia, let alone enter government. Maybe that will change, I wouldn't roll the dice with my life, would you?
