Mike Madigan, 78, 50 years in corruption government, 36 as speaker, resigned, cause they ousted him as speaker last month and so now he doesn't want to play with any of them. Good Riddance you little tyrant. His tenure has been more about accruing power for himself rather than his legislative body. Maybe democrats are coming to their senses but that's doubtable.

From afar, it has long been obvious that this bastard personifies the worst possible character traits of a "public servant," using his powers to stack the deck for those who kissed his ass, and buying the votes of the hundreds of thousands who are sucking on Illinois' teats (government employees, mainly teachers) with taxpayer funds. And of course, the Feds (Pelosi, Biden, Schumer) are keen to cover up all the corruption with a part of the $1.9T Federal package that Biden claims is so vital.
