the Fish and Wildlife Service announced it has temporarily declared a Nevada toad endangered because a geothermal power plant in the works about 100 miles east of Reno could result in its extinction.

Any technology can have negative consequences. I don't know why this surprises you. But I get it, you get to "score a point" on the Greenies. Congrats. Go out and "roll coal" around the neighborhood in celebration.

You know what you call a frog that could be driven to extinction by a single geothermal plant?

A loser frog.

Is it that hallucinogenic toad?
