Here we have a quaint custom by British criminals....throwing acid on people.....

Efforts to tackle acid attacks hampered by strict guidelines, police claim

Police officers are being hampered in their efforts to tackle violent moped-muggings involving acid and knives by strict guidelines governing the pursuit of riders, a former Scotland Yard officer has claimed.

Under pressure to act after a spate of acid attacks involving high-speed mopeds, the home secretary is reportedly preparing to unveil proposals to ensure acid and similar substances can be classed as dangerous weapons.

And the cops in Britain...they must be racist killers too...right?

David Videcette, who was in the Met’s counter-terror unit for six years until 2010, described the use of scooters as a “crime epidemic” that was not being taken seriously enough and claimed that IPCC prosecutions were also a problem.

“We are prosecuting officers for doing their jobs for god’s sake. How can that be right? The IPCC are driving this crime epidemic,” he posted on Twitter.

At least here the victim could use their own gun to stop the attack....in Britain...the robbers also have guns.....there has been a 42% increase in gun crime in London......and as a law abiding citizen, I don't know how you could carry a jar of acid in order to use it for self defense against the criminals throwing acid in your face...

Actually, the better question....how many times a year do armed Americans use guns to stop violent criminal attacks of all kinds.....

1,500,000 times.....and the thing is....they can use guns to stop acid attacks too......they can either take the asshole into custody till the police arrive or shoot the moron...they can't do that in Britain....

And if those criminals throwing acid in the face of women and other victims.....knew they would be shot on fucking sight....they wouldn't be throwing acid in people's faces....

trouble with a water blaster is that the acid would eat it up before you could use it.

Pity we in the civilized world have jettisoned the eternal truth that punishment is a deterrent to crime. If these acid-attackers had the ever lovin' shit beat out of them regularly, it might make them think twice. Also, a moped (or scooter) is a very vulnerable vehicle, to someone with no scruples.
