Wouldn't that be great.

ISIS leader may have been 'liquidated' by strike, Russia says

MOSCOW — Russia believes one of its airstrikes may have killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, its defense ministry announced Friday.

The militant commander's death has been rumored many times before. The U.S.-led coalition battling ISIS said it was unable to confirm the report.

Russia's defense ministry said on Facebook that it was checking information related to the attack, which it said targeted a meeting of senior ISIS figures near the group's Syrian stronghold of Raqqa on May 28.

It said around 30 field commanders and 300 militants were killed by Su-35 and Su-34 fighter jets. Baghdadi may have been at the meeting, the defense ministry added.

So what now? Are we to expect America to blame ruthless Russia for killing an innocent civilian?

This would be a great outcome, but it would seem to be premature based on reports I am hearing and reading online. Of course, one dead leader puts many other terrorists at risk as they will run around with their heads cut off for awhile. Also, they need to have their own in-fighting to replace the dirtbag with another patsy while in the meantime they face justice everyday.

It is difficult for me to ever trust or accept Russia as an ally, that takes a great deal of action and common ground after decades of distrust and the threat of conflict. However, in regards to this fight against ISIS, anyone willing to destroy these SOB's gets a quiet nod of approval.
