A witness who arrived at the Kamal Adwan hospital after the attack told Al Jazeera: "We were sitting in the school, because we were told it is safe.

"By God, there was not a single fighter, not a single shot was fired from the school. Why did they shoot at the school? Why? Can someone explain that to me? Why would they shell the school?"

Israel advice was 'DON'T SUPPORT HAMAS' - I don't see that coming up, however you have any detail of the fatalities? except a picture of a wounded kid says THOUSANDS took shelters in UN Schools I don't think its actually related..have you heard or found any of the footage/statements of the other side?

Israel claims that it's probably a Hamas rocket that landed on this school.

Like I said, it's not Israel's fault that Hamas commits this barbaric savage behavior of using UN schools and human shields to protect their bombs.

UN CHIEF OUTRAGED OVER ROCKETS STORED UNRWA SCHOOLS

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon expressed alarm on Wednesday that 20 rockets found hidden in a United Nations school in Gaza had gone missing and directed the world body to deploy experts to deal with the situation, Reuters reports.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency, UNRWA, found the rockets in one of its vacant schools a week ago. It found a second batch in a vacant school on Tuesday, but said in a statement that because staff were withdrawn quickly, they were "unable to confirm the precise number."

In both cases UNRWA said it "informed the relevant parties," but did not identify who had been contacted.

It was later reported that rather than destroying the rockets, UNRWA workers called Hamas to come remove them.

It is hard for me to believe that someone on the UN Staff did not know about the rockets and munitions being stored there.

The elements of HAMAS (Izz al-Din al-Qassem Brigade) and aligned associates alike the PIJ (Palestinian Islamic Jihad) are known to use such facilities as part of their method of operation. They are both considered terrorist elements by the EU and the US. But more importantly, these activities have resources inside useful UN Activities like UNRWA and UNHRC.

Hundreds of people were seeking shelter in a U.N. school in a northern Gaza compound when it was hit, Gaza health official Ashraf al-Kidra said. At least 150 were injured.

The strike is the fourth time a U.N. facility has been struck during fighting between Israel and Hamas. UNRWA, the Palestinian refugee agency, has said it has found militant rockets inside two vacant schools.

The U.N. secretary-general on Wednesday said he was "alarmed" to hear that rockets were placed in a U.N.-run school in Gaza and now "have gone missing," and he demanded a full review of such incidents.

A statement by the spokesman for Ban Ki-moon expressed the U.N. chief's "outrage and regret" at the placement of weapons at a site run by the global organization. The U.N. says that has happened at least twice so far in the current fighting.

"Those responsible are turning schools into potential military targets, and endangering the lives of innocent children," U.N. staff and anyone seeking shelter, the statement said.

The rockets had been placed at one of the schools run by the U.N. refugee agency for Palestinians, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in Gaza.

Once they were found, "in accordance with standard practice, UNRWA handed them over to the local authorities. Since then, they have gone missing," Ban's deputy spokesman, Farhan Haq, said in an e-mail Wednesday evening.

The Israeli Government - nor the IDF - have any agenda to purposefully target civilians or non-combatant related civilian infrastructure. However, once HAMAS allows its paramilitary functionaries, and Jihadist associates to use such facilities, they lose their protection. The Israelis will provide what notice they can so that civilians may flee the imminent engagement, but they will seek-out and destroy the enemy.
