Israeli "Settlers" and violence

I think we have a language barrier here because I struggle to follow your train of thought. It seems to be bouncing across numerous subjects.

Anyways, if I'm reading correctly, I don't think we should just collectively toss our arms up and forfeit our ability to rise above animal instincts. We should take more responsibility for our actions and allow ourselves the opportunity to become a greater influence.

Second, I do think that the totalitarian trend following socialistic ideologies is unfortunate. It's worth noting that socialism doesn't support totalitarianism though. It's just a typical response to desperation as we've seen through history. But just because we provide public schooling doesn't mean we now have a police state. It's an investment that can be focused on a spectrum.

Also, I feel the need to inform you that randomly capitalizing an inordinate number of words makes your post harder to read and in some circumstances takes away credence.

thanks for your advice-----my BIG problen in posting is that "periods" and
"commas" do not show up--------so I use dashes and capitals Maybe
it is the keyboard ????? All of my posts look like a mess of
RUN-ON sentences. Even when I try to compensate-----it still comes
out------WEIRD

I have never OBJECTED to the "SOCIALIST" aspects of our society---such
as EDUCATION , WELFARE . SIDEWALKS and etc etc
I HAVE NO IDEA from whence you pulled that idea

I do object to the concept of THE WORLD AS ONE BIG HAPPY
FAMILY------because historically IT NEVER WORKED -------
it always ended badly

PS----as to ANIMALISTIC TENDENCIES-------you cannot fight
the HUMOURS -----that includes HORMONES and
NEUROHUMORS ----they mediate human behavior

I see. That's unfortunate to hear about your keyboard.

I don't think any rational person supports literally full socialism. A good medium is found between the extremes of capitalism and socialism.

I can't continue the discussion regarding diversity. We seem to be diametrically opposed on human nature. I'll just concede by saying I respectfully, though entirely, disagree. Plus the topic is getting pretty derailed, so I'll stop altogether.

I'd wager most people would need to google "apartheid".

But yes, the word doesn't clarify the details. It's just a sexy word for journalists to use in their titles.

THOSE people you speak of are those unfamiliar with Apartheid in South Africa. AND increasingly the numbers of the illinformed grow smaller. AND BDS grows stronger!
Most people know all about South Africa, and in no way can you compare what happened to the Blacks in South Africa to Israel. I guess you just overlook the Arab journalists who say there is no apartheid in Israel and that the Arabs have it better in Israel then anyplace else in the Arab world. Why not tell us, Frau Sherri, how great those who are non Muslims or Muslims of different sects have it in the Muslim world in general. Are they treated equally with the Muslims who are the majority? For instance, are the Shiites even treated equally with the Sunnis in many places, or are they being blown up for their beliefs?

Your periods and commas seem to work fine:doubt:

i seem to recaall someone saying exactly..."war is cruel".

it almost sounded like an excuse.

That was a fact.

Excuses there are many.

(And wars you make with enemies, Seal. Not with 3 months old:()

your post was in response to these dead "enemies" of israel.

some of their ages are listed.

http://www.usmessageboard.com/7069873-post4.html

thanks, sherri.

in 1948 it was a time of war, masscres took place in both sides. That is why I said that war is cruel.

And yes, it goes for what I said, too. Our enemies are never the unarmed children, either.

Freund, you have the 15 posts required to be able to post links. Please don't stop. But when you start inserting links, don't, I beg of you, try to impress us with Counterpunch or Noam Chumpski. Please.

They've also insisted that Zionism is inherently racist and that Zionist Jews believe in Jewish supremacy. One of 'em frequently characterizes Jews per se as 'Christ-rejecters'.

Ehhh, I'd have to agree that Zionism is inherently racist. The concept of a "chosen people" is also kind of racist. In a modern day society, I'd prefer embracing or even unifying varying people.

But I'm not really here to make a war on religion.

The concept of "Chosen people" is used more by Jew-haters than Jews themselves.

And it's quite annoying, might add.

I guess it's as equally annoying as people proposing a Islamic religious imperative to eradicate Jews.

My mom supports Israel and literally only on the fact alone that they are God's chosen people. I don't really argue with her or her friends about it. I don't think my region is indicative of how the world reacts or behaves though. It's mostly just another footnote disturbing logical discourse.

If that's the reason why people support Israel, it's their issue.

Thanks for explaining that you know nothing of Judaism or what the Jewish concept of 'chosen people' means to us. As to 'racist' - well, that'd be the poster who just tossed up some POS from a hate speech site claiming that the Holocaust was a 'myth'.........

Would it would be annoying to you to read the Hamas and PLO Charters? To listen to speeches by Haniyeh, Abbas, Morsi, Achmedinnererjacket, the Grand Ayatollah and a multitude of Koran followers? Or did I dream up all that Taqiyyah? Basically they want to kill every Jew on Earth.

THOSE people you speak of are those unfamiliar with Apartheid in South Africa. AND increasingly the numbers of the illinformed grow smaller. AND BDS grows stronger!

And then there are those of us who KNOW that Israel is nothing like SA - and who understand that BDS is fundamentally evil because it hurts Palestinian people.

There are still a lot of ill-informed individuals who persist in repeating whatever slander is hurled at Israelis and Zionism and gloat over every Israeli harmed, no matter by what.

If that's the reason why people support Israel, it's their issue.

Regardless, they are still part of the problem and they are many. Why are we white-knighting Zionism if the Jewish faith itself isn't up for discussion?

While Israel and its dedicated U.S. Jewish supporters know they have the president and most of Congress in their hands, they worry about grassroots America — the well-meaning Christians who care for justice. Thus far, most Christians were unaware of what it was they didn’t know about Israel. They were indoctrinated by U.S. supporters of Israel in their own country and when they traveled to the Land of Christ most all did so under Israeli sponsorship. That being the case, it was unlikely a Christian ever met a Palestinian or learned what caused the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

This is gradually changing, however. And this change disturbs the Israelis.

Unfortunately, it seems that EOTS and Jos and some others would like to derail this thread rather than allow me to try. But here's a good place to start:
