Why would Darrell purposely withhold the facts that IRS was targeting bothLiberal and tea party tax evaders?

Hmmmmm.....

Washington (CNN) -- The inspector general who reported Internal Revenue Service targeting of conservative groups said Thursday that he didn't have information until last week that the word "progressive" also was on a list of criteria for extra scrutiny of tax-exempt applications.

At a hearing of the House Oversight Committee, Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration J. Russell George said the information that liberal groups also were probably targeted only came to him July 9.

It's clear from the testimony yesterday that the targeting was aimed at conservative groups.

In April 2010, Hull was assigned to scrutinize certain tea-party applications. He requested more information from the groups. After he received responses, he felt he knew enough to determine whether the applications should be approved or denied.

But his recommendations were not carried out.

Michael Seto, head of Mr. Hull's unit, also spoke to investigators. He told them Lois Lerner made an unusual decision: Tea-party applications would undergo additional scrutiny—a multilayered review.

Mr. Hull told House investigators that at some point in the winter of 2010-11, Ms. Lerner's senior adviser, whose name is withheld in the publicly released partial interview transcript, told him the applications would require further review:

Q: "Did [the senior adviser to Ms. Lerner] indicate to you whether she agreed with your recommendations?"

A: "She did not say whether she agreed or not. She said it should go to chief counsel."

Q: "The IRS chief counsel?"

A: "The IRS chief counsel."

The IRS chief counsel is named William Wilkins. And again, he is one of only two Obama political appointees in the IRS.

The Dems are getting more and more desperate to divert attention from a scandal in which a high level Obama appointee directed the targeting of conservative groups.

Was that the office of Chief Counsel or did the testimony say it went to Dr. William Wilkins personally?

How many times does this nonsense need to be refuted before people stop bringing it up again?

Issa may face criminal charges:

His audit, released in May, cited criteria including "tea party" and other conservative-themed words or labels that were used to decide whether applicants for tax-exempt status should come under further review. Since then, an investigation by the panel turned up documents that showed IRS workers also were told to look for the liberal-themed label.

"They were not provided during our audit, even though similar documents that list quote 'tea party' unquote but not 'progressive' were," George said. "I am very disturbed that these documents were not provided to our auditors at the outset, and we are currently reviewing this issue."

Where in the article does it say Issa withheld information?

I can't find it.

Did Issa have information on the inner workings of the IRS?

If information was being withheld from the IG, how could it have been Issa?

So maybe, what we've got here is another case of the IRS being the lying dimocrap scumbags they are and withholding information in violation of the Law?

You assume a lot.

I went and read that piece of fucking shit article from the Commie News Network and nowhere in it did I see anything linking Issa to any withheld information.

Methinks you are a lying bitch

Old news.

They target something like four liberal groups compared to more than a hundred conservative groups.

Nope, nothing wrong there...

That allegation came from Acting IRS Commissioner Daniel Werfel on Wednesday, who testified that George asked the agency to withhold the documents, arguing that they would reveal information about specific tax payers, in violation of U.S. law. IRS career professionals had cleared the documents for release and the agency was preparing to send the information to Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA).

Since George issued his report, House Oversight Committee investigators discovered that IRS scrutiny of 501 (c)(4) groups was far more widespread than he had originally reported. A 2010 Power Point presentation instructing IRS officials how to handle sensitive cases and included words like “Tea Party,” “Patriots,” “9/12 Project,” and also “Progressive.” George had previously denied that the term “Progressive” was used in the screening process.

Investigators also found that the term “Occupy” was featured on a “Watch List” from January 2012 “and were to be referred to the same IRS group that was handling the ‘Tea Party’ cases.”

So Issa wants you to believe that he can only release info about Repubs being targeted because if he released info about Liberals being targeted that would expose info.

Suuuuuuuure

Read the freaking article. Issa did no such thing. The democrat defense team, which should be on the side of justice instead of circling the wagons around the administration, bases their entire defense on a claim by the IRS about a single word. Yeah, they might have flagged the word "progressive" but Obama's half brother got a tax exempt status for a freaking criminal enterprise. The list of conservative groups is a hundred times longer than the folks who used the word "progressive".

quit littering the board with stuff that already been posted a couple of months ago...for crying out a troll that can't the time to do a damn search...worthless and just a waste of space
