Issa's "investigation" falling apart

Iran Contra was about an alleged violation by the Reagan administration of an obscure amendment that a radical leftie inserted into a Military appropriations bill. It prevented the greatest Nation in the world from trying to stop communist infiltration into Central America. Clinton got around a hundred junk regulations like the Boland amendment but nobody cared. Boland and Iran Contra was about foreign policy but nobody got killed like the Benghazi foreign policy debacle. The IRS investigations are about violating the civil liberties of American citizens and it's a damn shame that the radical left defends the administration.

Funny how you failed to mention the illegal trading of Arms to the terrorist in Iran for Hostages. Furthermore the Contra-Rebels were terrorizing the people of Nicaragua and sought to overthrow the democratically elected government there. Ray-guns' Beirut folly got many more Americans killed than the assault on the Benghazi compounds did.

The IRS investigation has brought to light the ramifications of CU. You're right they should not have targeted anyone. Every single group seeking tax exempt status should be thoroughly investigated and any political activity by the group should disqualify them for tax exempt status and they should have to disclose who donates and how much they donate.

Issa sure is all assholes and elbows into being a snitch like Tricky Dick Nixon. It's good to have a watchdog, but not a rabid one,

Yes, this administration has lied to Issa's committee on several occasions, invoked executive privilege so that no one was ever held accountablein the illegal operation that allowed thousands of assault weapons to cross our border and resulted in untold number of deaths--Issa is damn well justified in being rabid. There is a pattern of dishonesty and illegality, and this administration has shown it has no interest in holding anyone accountable, especially the ever incompetent President Magoo.

Irony abounds when it comes to the Fast and Furious scandal. But the ultimate irony is this: Republicans who support the National Rifle Association and its attempts to weaken gun laws are lambasting ATF agents for not seizing enough weapons—ones that, in this case, prosecutors deemed to be legal.

Yeah that wasn't a hatchet piece. The ATF allowed transactions that even dealers were hesitant to approve. The ATF wanted to track those weapons to find how they were getting into Mexico. They discovered they could only "track" them after they were picked up at a crime scene.
The NRA opposes seizing weapons from lawful citizens. Mexican drug dealers and their allies are not lawful citizens (although the Obama Administration has a plan to remedy this).
Do you understand the difference?

If you like that kind of government I'd suggest a move to Cuba, where everything must be revealed to the gov't.
