It had to come out. Is Trump invested in United Technologies, who owns Carrier?

Meanwhile, more than half of the jobs that Carrier had intended to move to Mexico are still going to be lost, and the tariff that Trump had threatened to impose transformed this week into a tax cut—an incentive, basically, to keep the jobs in Indiana. Also, the union whose workers’ jobs are under threat was not allowed to participate in negotiations between the company and Trump.

they weren’t keeping our 1,283 bargaining unit members, they were going to keep 730.” He added: “That was somewhat of a setback, because Trump was saying they were keeping 1,000 jobs"

United Technologies received more than $6 billion in defense contracts last year and made a profit of $7.6 billion.

Barring additional information, it is impossible to verify the Trump transition team’s claim until the president-elect’s next financial disclosure in May 2017, which will show asset sales made in 2016.

So Trump gave a tax incentive to a company he is possibly invested in.

No conflict of interest here, he hopes.

Trump said he sold his investment off in January, but refuses to provide any documents that would prove that divestment.

Interesting FIRST case. It won't be the last. This is only the beginning.

Actually the State of IN gave the incentives and last I heard they're keeping 1,100 jobs in IN with an average pay of 77+K. That will keep close to 20 million per year in federal income taxes in the US.

No, I don't see that as a conflict of interest at all.

If he created a tax cut for specifically one company, a company he owns.... ok, you got a point. That would be like Tunisia, and Russia where friends of the government get special benefits.

But to create a tax cut that benefits everyone? That's not a conflict of interest, because it doesn't specifically help you. Every company benefits. Carrier if he own stock in, could still fail in a free-market competitive environment, because all the other companies have the same benefit as carrier.

This is a benefit for the entire country. Not just Trump.

You people...... such pathetic attempts to attack Trump. There is more then enough legitimate criticism, than a need to make up crap. This is why we ignored you during the election. You just make up crap.

One thing I will definitely agree with you on. . .

This is only the beginning.

The Democrats will sure regret nominating a corrupt piece of shit now, won't they?
That never happened. Republicans have been smearing the Clinton family for over 30 years. Using the full resources of the FBI, the CIA and endless taxpayer funded congressional investigations. They said if she won, they already had more than two years of investigations to ruin her presidency all set up and ready to go.

Just the Clinton Foundation alone, one of the world's premier foundations, has an A rating, helps over 400 million people world wide. You would think an organization that big, after investigations by the CIA, FBI and several congressional investigations, something would have turned up. But it didn't. Just endless Republican allegations.

And with the Trump Foundation, only a single reporter brought it down because it was so corrupt.

There is so much material on Trump, we don't have to lie. So much has already bubbled over the top, imagine what lies farther down? It'll all come out. Trump's corruption is like a fat and overripe grape. One little prick and the whole thing explodes.

Tax cuts that benefits everyone? The oft repeated GOP fantasy.

Look at the Bush Tax cuts. 90% going to the top 5%. Were going to create so many jobs, only they didn't. Instead, they created deficit.
Clinton left office with a slight surplus and the CBO said we were directed towards a 5 trillion dollar surplus over 10 years. How'd that work out. They not only did no good, they brought in no revenue when we needed it the most. The GOP was busy wrecking the economy. The damage under Bush was enormous because then entire government was controlled by the GOP.
We are about to see that exact same scenario. But with a con man we know stiffs his employees. It's not even speculation.

Well, I will agree with you on one thing, I'm sure the Trump organization has it's own ethics problems.

You need to stop believing everything you read. . . seriously.

Either that, or learn to find some sources that are not officially sanctioned. Do you seriously think the power elite will critically examine and prosecute their own? Really?

Now that Trump is on the inside, he is safe.

I read he had around 3K investment lol. Give it up loons. He probably has investments all over the country..

There's nothing scandalous here except the mainstream corporate media pushing their globalist agenda. The election of Trump is the push back against them.

At some point, the media will have to take a good long look at Trump. Republicans will have to either clean house or get slaughtered in the midterms. Take a look at Trump Foundation. Who runs a "charity" where your own money isn't used and it was never licensed nor certified. And never audited. This isn't being investigated by the FBI or congress. This is being investigated by New York's Attorney General. This is criminal proceedings. It will get ugly.

I know, we were going to get slaughtered in the last three elections.... and guess what happened? The Democrats have lost it all... the presidency, the Senate, the SCOTUS the House and the governorships.

But hey, you guys can come along for the ride, but you'll have to sit in the back.
