I understand your point. But if we are talking about Muslim immigrants, then as I said before the percentage of Muslims in Ireland is relatively small, so I think that they didnt contribute much to the statistics.

NOT IMMIGRANTS because they are NOT going to be allowed to PERMANENTLY STAY in Japan, it will be an extension of EXISTING Japanese policy and they would have a RIGID monitoring and the deal would be they would be removed from Japan after a 5 year period of working there depending on how efficient they are at doing the job that could be extended to a 10 year period, they also CANNOT bring their ENTIRE FAMILY with them, they will NOT be able to get Japanese citizenship because in Japan you have to be of Japanese HERITAGE to become a citizen.

And also I would GUARANTEE that none of them are going to be Sub-Saharan Africans and Kebabs in Japan working, I would guarantee that 99% of them are from Philippines, Nepal, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Myanmar and it will be exactly the same if they get this extra 500,000 of them.

Well, you are right, it would be more correctly to call them temporal workers rather than immigrants. But my answer was aimed primarily to your mention of robots. Even Japan increasingly needs foreign workers; despite great achievments in robotisation and automatisation, robots arent panacea in the foreseeable future.
