It's Happening!

Do you think NPR is biased against Trump?
NPR is woke, biased against America and American values, and anything associated with Trump's vision of a strong, free, prosperous America that offers liberty, choices, options, opportunity, prosperity for its citizens. It is usually much more subtle in its bias than the other alphabet media groups, but it's there for anybody with an ear to hear and identify it.

President Trump is stripping funding for Corporation for Public Broadcastings National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Broadcasting System (PBS).

These outlets have proven they can generate revenue and funding without the US Taxpayer’s funds. I believe these brands will continue to thrive and have more autonomy without direct government funding and oversight.
Now they can finally drop their “fair and balanced” facade

They probably don't need it, at this point. They are largely funded by businesses and interested private donors, such as myself, that see a benefit from their service. I proudly support WKNO, 91.1, public radio for the Mid-South, on a regular basis. Not much Trump can do about people like me. Fck him.:auiqs.jpg:
I'm sure Trump has no interest in who you choose to fund and it is pretty naive (or indicative of strong TDS) to assume he would care. He is only interested that the taxpayers who do not wish to fund groups like NPR and PBS are not required to do so.

Not really. Trump creates his own news, by his own actions and reactions. They are usually fairly unbiased and to the point, not being controlled by the government, nor trying to fill a 24/7 news/entertainment listenership.

Yes!, I occasionally see "This Old House" reruns and skip by it.

Got a link to that made up news flash?

Inform yourself, you might feel better.

As Berliner writes: “Concerned by the lack of viewpoint diversity, I looked at voter registration for our newsroom. In D.C., where NPR is headquartered and many of us live, I found 87 registered Democrats working in editorial positions and zero Republicans. None.”

When you've read the above, I suggest you also read the below:

Don't worry, MSNBC and CNN are still out there to save us from our toxic masculinity.

Well, I just learned this this morning:

When NPR and PBS were originally contracted to be supported by public tax dollars, the contract stipulated that the programming had to be balanced, 50/50 conservative and liberal so that all viewpoints were presented. So you see, both these agencies have been operating illegally in violation of federal law for DECADES.

So while there is some programming of theirs I like and watch and have enjoyed, I would never donate nor support them financially. In fact, had I supported them, I'd be now asking for my money back and it would not terribly hurt my feelings if Trump now demanded they repay the government in full for all the public tax dollars they have gotten for the past 40 years or face criminal charges.

I doubt NPR will be highly affected.
"While federal money is important to the overall public media system, NPR gets less than 1% of its annual budget, on average, from federal sources,” NPR said on its website" It looks like Trump is stuck with accurate, reasoned nongovernment controlled radio. Tough sh#t for Trump.
