Today begins Passover. I wonder if there will be trouble as this is a sacred Jewish holiday...

I don't disagree, but, what if there is "chatter" about a Hamas-style pogrom? Also, mustn't the university be forced to protect education?Absolutely not. You give an inch and they take a mile...
Echos of the late 30s. It's only a matter of time before someone suggests that Jews wear a star on their chests.Columbia rabbi tells Jewish students to leave campus, warns that school, NYPD 'cannot guarantee your safety' (link):
Rabbin Buecher appears to be a responsible, middle-of-the-road Rabbi. Are pogroms, or a Hamas-style attack on the way? Columbia and the NYPD appear to be hitting the "protesting" students with a wet noodle.
My own "vote" if I have one would be for the Jewish students, and others, to leave campus promptly. It will be impossible for meaningful final exams to be administered. It is high time that Jewish donors park their money elsewhere. The temples of higher education are being defiled. This situation needs to be brought to a head, but not with violence.
And a violation of peace, order and good government.Echos of the late 30s. It's only a matter of time before someone suggests that Jews wear a star on their chests.
This is disgusting. In 2024 that people ANY group should be intimidated from going to school to the point of being advised to NOT attend school. This is a violation of their Rights and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Maybe they would be better served going to a college where they can arm themselves.

Thing is the majority of US Jew's liberal sensibilities outweigh their sense of self-preservation. Nobody ever "won" by backing down in the face of oppression.
It's not lost upon me that if it was some other leftist protest the Jewish students at Columbia would be right out there with them.
In a way they made their own ironic bed by choosing leftist liberalism over liberty and then got turned on simply due to their religion.
US Jews that always choose take the side of Liberty would be a great thing....But I won't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
No, it starts tomorrow evening, after sunset.Today begins Passover. I wonder if there will be trouble as this is a sacred Jewish holiday...
Islamic terrorist huggers close down the Golden Gate bridge for four hours. This is what the USA has become under the anarchy of the left.
It's a shame Israel's problems wind up in the US.
It's a shame Israel's problems wind up in the US.
The crazy Leftists say that it's intolerant to even mention islamic hate and violence.

It isn’t quite that one sided.Echos of the late 30s. It's only a matter of time before someone suggests that Jews wear a star on their chests.

The School has an obligation to provide a safe and welcoming environment for ALL it’s students as well as space free speech and even uncomfortable topics. That is a given.
But the pro-Palestinian protesters who were protesting at Columbia were doing so peacefully according to the police who broke up the encampment. They also included Jewish protesters in solidarity with the Palestinians. It is a volitile issue and if it remains peacefull, they should not be silenced and it does seem there are attempts to do so.
Speaking with CNN, one Jewish Columbia student highlighted the hazards risked by the students protesting as well as interfaith prayers and a Seder service at the encampment.Loading…

“Columbia students organizing in solidarity with Palestine – including Jewish students – have faced harassment, doxxing, and now arrest by the NYPD. These are the main threats to the safety of Jewish Columbia students,” Jonathan Ben-Menachem, a PhD student, told CNN.
“On the other hand, student protesters have led interfaith joint prayers for several days now, and Passover Seder will be held at the Gaza Solidarity Encampment tomorrow,” he went on. “Saying that student protesters are a threat to Jewish students is a dangerous smear.”
What is?Probably just a "conspiracy"
(Eye roll)
What is?
Whatever. We all know you're sympathetic to... well we all know.
Have a nice day
Regardless, there are signs globally of an empending WWIII and many of the same "types" of national leaders are in positions in their near fascist systems. The expansion of this vitriol against Jews within the West provides the underlying conditions for potential harm to them and others simply based on who they are or believe. We saw this happening to conservatives for years while some were silent. It isn’t quite that one sided.
