The Biden Administration sought to block government funding for school shooting courses, such as hunting and archery, but the House voted against it this week by a landslide.

The Protecting Hunting Heritage and Education Act was passed in a 424-1 vote after it was discovered this summer that the Department of Education was restricting the funding for hunting and archery teaching in schools.

Guns are not the problem. Democrats slapping the wrists of violent people who use guns is the problem.
Can anyone name a time when a school shooting course has led to violence? There are close to 450 million guns in America, so it should be mandatory that every child learns at least basic gun safety. Just ask Alec Baldwin.

So you want archery taught in school...

None of this was about guns...

There is no mention of guns in the Article you linked... It was about Archery...

So the question is, do we think tax payers money should be used to teach kids about archery?

Don't see that are very partisan issue...

sounds like it is time to get rid of the Department of Education

Why is there even a Department of Education.
Because tricky Dick Nixon, establishment Republican, thought that when central government was in charge of indoctrinating the masses, that the end would be Socialistic.

So were do you think the various functions done in Department of Education should go?
A lot of those functions are federal...

This would seriously hamper US economy... Do you know why?

Why do we teach kids to play football, where only maybe 6 months out of the year, the field isnt being used? Talk about a waste of money.

Like denying funding for Federally funded programs? There should be no Department of Education. Nobody has ever established the public need for a department of education.

Hurt the US economy, if getting rid of a big part of government and the waste of our tax money hurts the economy, it is the part of the economy we do not need.

Those functions were made up to justify creating the department.

Except maybe enforcing Title IX to give girls equal access to sports. Which the DoE has never done well, and is now useless at in the face of bio males ruining sports for girls.

This isn`t about protecting hunting or safe handling of guns. It`s about selling guns just like the Eddie Eagle crap. Are you really that naive or just a useful tool of the gun manufacturers?

No, it's about teaching kids what to do if they find a gun and safety. There is no advertising of guns to buy, it doesn't tell people to buy guns, it doesn't even encourage gun ownership.

The link you provided says absolutely nothing about selling guns. It only says people were upset that gun safety was being taught to kids and was cancelled.

Sure kids should learn archery. It's better than spending money teaching kids about fags and trannies.

It's a sport. A lot of schools have golf which is about precision and focus, archery is the same thing. It also teaches kids how to exercise their brains to be able to consider things they normally don't like effect of gravity on the arrow and wind speed and how to compensate for them. Not to mention it engages kids in school activities and they socialize with others on the team. It also instills safety for kids.

Archery is quite relaxing as well. I can target practice for a while and relax and just think about things and enjoy being outside.
