"Republican Mike Johnson narrowly won reelection Friday to the House speakership on a first ballot, overcoming hard-right GOP holdouts after a tense standoff and buoyed by a nod of support from President-elect Donald Trump."

"In the end, however, Johnson was able to flip two remaining holdouts who switched to support him, drawing applause from Republicans. The tally was 218-215.'

it was close, but he got the votes he needed.

Poor Dems

another plan ruined.

Close is all that is needed. Maybe Johnson isn't Newt Gingrich, but who in the GOP is these days? All that matters is this is settled, this is behind us, democrats didn't get the chaos they hoped for, and it is a big win for Trump. The GOP voted to back Johnson for the good of Trump, now the Donald can move forward with his mandate ASAP.

Just 16 more days.

Still having trouble with Math I see.
Is it 16 days or 17 days?

What a tard.
But sure, SPIN this to attack me.......I know you will.

Yes we realize you're a bigot and have a problem with the common courtesy of calling people by the name they want to be called by.

LOL you think the biggest problem we face is how we put letters together to form a name.

"President Abraham Lincoln was once embroiled in a dispute with a colleague. Unable to get his opponent to see the error in his thinking Lincoln said, “Tell me, how many legs does a cow have?”

“What?” responded the man, “why four of course.”

“Now suppose,” continued the president, “that you call the cow’s tail a leg. Then how many legs does a cow have?”

“Five,” replied the man.

“That’s where you are wrong,” replied Lincoln. “Calling a cow’s tail a leg does not make it a leg.”"

calling a man wearing a dress a woman doesn't make him one.
