Some of the lies that the special counsel spells out in the redacted memorandum appear to implicate the president and those close to him in possible collusion and obstruction crimes. Notably, Mr. Manafort is accused of lying to the special counsel regarding his contacts with the Trump administration.

We don’t know the content of those contacts, but considering public statements about potential pardons, it is not hard to imagine they could implicate the president and others in a conspiracy to obstruct justice or witness tampering if, for example, they suggested a potential pardon if Mr. Manafort protected the president.

Contrary to the president’s claim that all of this “totally clears” him, the danger to Mr. Trump, his business and his campaign has compounded significantly. For all these reasons, the president is unlikely to have a restful, tweet-free weekend — or a calm 2019, for that matter.

Mueller doesn't spell out any lies, moron. You can't even name anything.

"It appeared to implicate the president?" Based on what? Can you quote anything that implicates the President? In fact, it totally exonerates the president. There is nothing in that memo that even mentions collusion, dumbass. All you've got is your fevered imagination. There's no "there" there.

Special counsel Robert Mueller has filed a court document on alleged lies told by Paul Manafort to Mueller’s team in violation of the plea deal signed by the ex-Trump campaign chairman.

Here are the key takeaways:

  • The document laid out five key lies Manafort allegedly told the special counsel and the FBI. Those alleged lies related to suspected Russian spy Konstantin Kilimnik and a wire transfer to a firm working for Manafort, as well as “information pertinent to another Department of Justice investigation” and “Manafort’s contact with Administration officials.”
  • Large sections of the document detailing the alleged falsehoods are blacked out. The most heavily redacted portions related to Manafort’s interactions with Kilimnik.
  • The special counsel said evidence “demonstrates that Manafort lied about his contacts” when he said after signing his plea deal that he had “no direct or indirect communications with anyone” in the Trump administration.
  • Manafort was talking to people in the Trump administration as late as 2018, the document alleges: “In a text message from May 26, 2018, Manafort authorized a person to speak with an Administration official on Manafort’s behalf. Separately, according to another Manafort colleague, Manafort said in February 2018 that Manafort had been in communication with a senior Administration official up through February 2018.”
  • Mueller said Manafort’s lies “were not instances of mere memory lapses,” and that the special counsel “is available to prove the false statements at a hearing” if Manafort challenges the most recent allegations against him.

In response to the court filing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders issued th

Konstantin Kilimnik is Ukrainian, not Russian, moron. Manafort has known him for years. His association had nothing to do with the Trump campaign. Manafort's last contact with the man, prior to 2017, was in 2013. How could that possibly have anything to do with the election?

Manafort's attempt to talk to the Trump administration means nothing for Trump. Thousands of people try to communicate with the President every day. Unless the "lies" were about Russian collusion, they are meaningless to the Trump administration.

You even admit that all the details of any lies are "blacked out," so how could you know anything about them?
