Facebook and Google are not just intrusive monopolies, but many of their practices are a violation of your privacy.
Both Facebook and Google make products that require you just use their platform and thus private info. Facebook VR quest2 headsets require a facebook acct thus your phone number but also might lock you out making your device rendered useless.

How can they be allowed to do that and why has no politician brought that up?
This is what got Microsoft in trouble but Politicians rely on tech donors for not just campaigns, but favorable treatment in news/search/ ad rates, and as we seen censorship and make it go away favors, which equate to campaign finance value thus fraud.
