Kyle Rittenhouse shot three people. One threw a brick at him, one hit him over the head with a skateboard, and the other shot at him with a pistol. He was forced to make a split second decision while being attacked by a mob armed with deadly weapons. He did not shoot them merely because they offended him. The left calls it cold-blooded murder.

A rioter in Portland shot a guy and we don't have much for details yet. However, some leftists are already calling it justified based on nothing more than the victim wearing a "Patriot Prayer" hat and wearing a shirt that says "Blue Lives Matter". In fact, many are equating the shootings in Kenosha and Portland. There has so far been no report that the victim in Portland was armed or was being violent or was in any way a threat to the physical safety of the individual who shot him.

Until we hear confirmation that the Portland victim was armed or at least being violent, the two should be regarded as completely dissimilar.

I guess there is some video of the Portland shooting, except I can't open the link right now.

Thanks for your post. The Left have gone COMPLETELY insane. It's horrific to observe.

There is a simple judicial concept called din rodef, "the law of the pursuer." A rodef (plural rodfim) is somebody who pursues somebody else with the objective of causing death or serious physical injury. Din rodef entitles the one pursued, or a bystander, to use reasonable force, up to and including deadly force, to stop the rodef from completing the intended violent crime.

Videos show clearly that Rittenhouse was running away from another man, presumably Joseph Rosenbaum, who apparently threw something at him. Rittenhouse was therefore trying to avoid a violent confrontation while Rosenbaum, as best I can tell from the video, was the rodef who insisted on having one. He got what he wanted. Right there is just cause for the charge of 1st degree murder to be thrown out, at least as regards Rosenbaum, who was the 1st guy who was shot and killed.

Then we have video that shows clearly that Rittenhouse was running away from a mob of individuals whose numbers, even if unarmed, gave them disparity of force which is the same as deadly force. The audio includes explicit violent threats such as "get him" and "get his ass" to which CBS adds, "Beat him up!" When Rittenhouse fell to the ground, they went at him with a skateboard allegedly wielded by Anthony Huber and a pistol allegedly wielded by the survivor, Gaige Grosskreutz. Again din rodef, you are entitled to defend yourself from attack, especially when fired upon. A shot was fired which may or may not have been at him, but Rittenhouse doesn't know that. He has every reason to believe his life is in jeopardy.

In every single video that I have seen, Rittenhouse is clearly trying to extricate himself from danger brought on by a mob that appeared hell bent on doing him harm. That's not murder. Whether Rittenhouse should have been in Kenosha in the first place, and with a weapon that a 17-year old cannot legally carry in public, is a separate issue for courts of law to decide.

Death Comes to Portland.

When do we get to drop the “mostly peaceful” fiction?
Answer: Today. Right now. That’s when.

INSURRECTIONIST: ‘I Am 100% ANTIFA All the Way,’ Portland Shooting Suspect Said, Warning of ‘War’ to Come.

The Oregonian reported that police are investigating 48-year-old Michael Forest Reinoehl, who has identified himself as antifa, has been arrested at previous antifa riots in Portland, and matches some descriptions of the shooter. Reinoehl has also described his support for Black Lives Matter as part of a “war” that will involve “casualties.”

On July 5, police arrested Reinoehl amid a violent riot in front of the federal courthouse. Authorities charged him with possessing a loaded gun in a public place, resisting arrest, and interfering with police. Although he was given a court date later that month, authorities dropped the charges on July 30. Court records do not explain why prosecutors decided to drop the charges. Reinoehl did not spend any time behind bars.

Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt, told The Oregonian that his office is still reviewing that July case. Earlier this month, Schmidt announced his office would decline to prosecute various crimes, including interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest.

I will condemn violence by both sides beginning with the Democrats who killed retired Police Captain David Dorn.

Mayor Imbecile wants to blame the president for Democrats killing a Trump supporter in the streets of Portland. The media aids him in his lies.
