Kids Marches Against Guns Backed by "Shadowy" Money

>

March for Our Lives is a 501(c)(4) organization operating on "dark money".

Just FYI...

Know who else is a 501(c)(4) organization?

The National Rifle Association has 501(c)(4).

Yeah the hypocrisy of spreading rumors about these kids- while supporting the NRA and their 'dark money' is both thick- and typical.

Sadly, pathetically, if it wasn't for HYPOCRISY, all too many on the Right would have NO STANDARDS at all.

This march is not about keeping kids safe.
It's all about getting people fired up, getting them signed up, getting them ready for the November election.

Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School announced Sunday a nationwide march in Washington, D.C. scheduled for next month in response to the deadly Parkland school shooting.

According to the event’s website, “kids and families will take to the streets of Washington, D.C. to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today.”

“We’re going to maintain this momentum,” said Emma Gonzalez, a student at Stoneman Douglas High, on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd. “We have this organization. And we are going to push, no matter how hard it takes. We already have pushed no more than young children should possibly ever have to push.”

“We are marching for our lives, we’re marching for the 17 lives we lost. And we’re marching for our children’s lives and our children’s children and their children. This kind of stuff can’t just happen. Never again will this kind of tragedy happen in this country or any country,” said Alex Wind, also a student at Stoneman Douglas.

Details for the event that will be held on March 24th can be found here.

March For Our Lives - March 24, 2018

We've got 2 in the 'region'. Still deciding which we are going to attend. We have about 80 people driving N from here to one or the other. (Some might attend both--AM and PM in 2 'towns', about 40 minutes drive time between the 2). I have no idea what to expect, we'll see. I hope the KIDS will send a strong signal to Tallahassee. We adults will be there for moral support. It's their gig, their message...

I've always wondered how the Parkland students got organized so quivkly. And came up with the dough to leases the buses they used to go to the various spots for their photo ops. Itt had to come from somewhere but nobody in the "legit" media seemed to want to find out. Well, here's someone who's done some digging:

"Donations to the March For Our Lives Action Fund will cover all expenses associated with the march taking place in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, March 24th," the site said. "The funds will also be used to fight for comprehensive gun safety legislation at the local, state, and federal level, and will also include voter education, ballot initiatives, and lobbying state legislatures and Congress to protect America's kids."

Despite the anonymous nature of the group's funding, there is some information on who has given money to the group thus far because a number of celebrities have announced their own donations publicly. Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Steven Spielberg, and Jeffrey Katzenberg have each donated $500,000. The fashion company Gucci has also publicly announced their own half-million-dollar donation. Those publicly disclosed donations total $2.5 million.

The group also announced that the proceeds from the GoFundMe fundraiser, which raised $3.3 million in the immediate aftermath of the Parkland shooting, would be split between a separate fund that will help financially support the families of the victims and the March For Our Lives Action Fund. It is unclear how much money the Action Fund has raised since the GoFundMe fundraiser was ended and the group switched to raising money through The Action Network, a fundraising platform designed to assist progressive causes. The group won't be required to file financial disclosures for several months.

Hypocrites like Clooney and Spielberg seem to have no problem with making movies with a great deal of violence with guns in them, yet fund anti-gun marches.

I doubt that more than a few thousand will be in DC and twice that total; in the rest of the nation.

Americans will not give up their guns due to Euro-trash agit prop, fool

So, they raised money for the families under false pretenses. Doesn’t surprise me in the least.

Money going to causes that people believe in is not "shadow money." When a person or organization give money to a cause, that does not make them "shadow operatives."

If the "patriots" are doing this, first they need to change their names to the "traitors"

If the pats want to be SJW Stalinists, fuck em.

I was boycotting the NFL anyway

HELL YES! It's a called a 2FER!

How about a "threefer?"

Because what this is really about is ending the Constitution and establishing a Marxist dictatorship.

You Stalinists are under the bizarre delusion that we Americans will surrender without a fight.

You are VERY mistaken.

You're pissed? And stupid. These kids are SMART, articulate and come from a 'nice neighborhood'. They would have paid the price of air fare, gas or a special train from Amtrak--on their own!!

Per capita income is about $58. (Not household, per capita).

These kids are mindless pawns of you Khmer Rouge scum.

Oh calm down. It's Friday night, FFS.

But I gotta say, if we end up in a Marxist dictatorship, we all know who's going to be at the helm - your dear leader.

P.S.: Did Obama take your guns? No? Then shut it, hysterical nancy boy.

Obama is not my "dear leader," Comrade.

So will you be joining with the rest of the Khmer Rouge to use your child army to end the Constitution?

Of course you will.

Oh. My. {sigh}

Try to follow along. Who is the current president?

I'm going to take it slow.

Just another example of how Contards are willing to slander America's children- in order to assuage their fears of their guns being taken away.
