Labor Force Participation Rate Lowest Since 1979! Unemployment Numbers are Bogus

We have around 152,900,000 in our Labor force. 90,000,000 of those are not looking for work! The only thing driving the unemployment down is people dropping out of the Labor Force. Meanwhile, I give you the Obama Voters.

The president has little to do with the ailing U.S. economy. This is a systemic issue caused by (1) reduction in real wages for middle income workers since about 1980, (2) greatly concentrated wealth into the hands of a very few, (3) displaced workers due to "free trade agreements" and technological innovation, (4) loss of labor unions, (5) over thirty years of "supply side economics," and (6) an economic system that rewards wealth instead of productive labor.

This will not get better until massive changes occur in the economic/political framework.

He just summarized the teachings of Karl Marx.

Was any of that incorrect? If so, I welcome feedback.

What a crock of excrement.

Half of the population in each state does not have a job and the other half, 60% make under 50,000 a year so what does that tell you about the real truth about our economy?

Do you have anything of value to say, though? I realize you are all right-wingy and such, but try and say something intelligent.

Ah no, not really. In fact, not at all.

Freemason just encapsulated a very complex state of economic affairs into a few words. (well done, mate!)

If you've ever read Marx, Publius, you'd know Marx couldn't have done that to save his life.

Thanks, editec.

I might have added, as an aside, that the current federal deficit has no effect whatsoever on the persistent jobless rate; and yet, this is the main focus of congressions Republicans. Now, I wonder why that might be?

Congratulations! You have discovered how retirees, students, homemakers, and the independently wealthy are counted in the household survey.

this is very very true; U6 was about 8% for years before the recession, now it stuck at around 15% or 22 million unemployed people after 5 years of Obama's Marxist anti-business idotic liberalism!!

stupid stupid illiterate libturd!! If there was no deficit or debt the Chinese and Japanese and others would have to buy our products with their Walmart and Toyota dollars rather than out debt and deficit.

Also, when the libturd government raises taxes to cover the debt and deficit that means people have less to save and invest in new businesses that create the new jobs.

Why, why, oh why, Edmund, must the [fake] conservative [nutball] resort to filthy god damned lies?
The brilliance of the [fake] conservative [nutball] is best demonstrated telling the truth, d'ye see that, Edmund?
U6 was 9% more than half of Junebug's eight malignant years.
