Liberal Democrats Want ICE to Waste Time Getting Warrants

Slavery was never illegal in the constitution. (pre 14th)
In fact the constitution supported and protected slavery (article 9), and made escaped slaves fugitives from justice.(Article IV, Section 2, Clause 3)

And any act or law inhibiting it, would be unconstitutional.

Let that sink in.
Slavery is illegal now, it's in the Constitution.

We don't need a UNSC mandate to go to war. The UN voted unamiously that Saddam was in REPEAT violation of their resolutions and had been for years
Without a UNSC mandate, you need an actual declaration of war from congress.
What Bush got was an authorization to use force, in order to enforce UNSC resolutions.

Which Iraq wasn't in violation of.

As Colin Powell famously said, Iraq might as well have done it, because we're going to blame it on them.

well no, we need one regardless, the UNSC has no jursidiction over our military

but Bush did get one, Clinton and XIden voted for it https://www.congress.gov/bill/107th...Iraq Resolution of,by the Security Council to

Then we shouldn't have signed the UN Charter, which was a treaty ratified by congress,

and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; - Article 6

Warrants no longer matter to the authoritarians like you.

Warrants for non-citizens? Not really? Less rights. MS13 tatooed on knuckles? Why waste time on killer gang members?

Hauling 8 illegals in an SUV? Is that a crime? Where he get SUV. Too much time and money spent already on one worthless killer. Can't believe media so I believe Trump regime doing the right things.//

Yeah some folks were good little subjects

Not sure your point

What bearing does a law written before you had a legal system, or even citizenship, have on life in the 21st Century? And what nations are you current in a declared war with which would justify such actions under that law.

The wonks at the Heritage Society have been pouring over old statutes and coming up with these zombie laws which were never repealed, to try to do things the American people don't want done, and which are Constitutionally invalid.

The Alien Enemies Act was rendered moot by subsequent amendments to the Constitution which established "due process" for deportations, but Trump is using it because it was never repealed.

They're using the Comstock Act to try to restrict abortion nationwide, even in states where the voters have protected women's rights in state elections.

I hope the SC throws both out, but with this radical Catholic, Federalist Society Supreme Court, I don't realistically think it will. They wouldn't even stand up for the right of women to have life saving abortion care for partial miscarriages.

Kari Lake is right, Trump should defy judges who go against the Constitution.

Kari Lake has bankrupted the Arizona Republican Party with her attempts to gaslight Arizona voters into believe she won these elections.

Marco Rubio, your current Secretary of State was just on television complaining the Constitution is an impediment to the administration's goal of "mass deportations". That's a public admission that the Administration's actions are illegal and unconstitutional.

If Trump refuses to abide by Court orders, the USA has gone full blown authoritarian. The Courts are the last line of defense for your Constitutional rights. Once those rights are gone, it's really fucking hard to get them back.

You must miss the old days where justice was swift.

All you needed was a good tall tree, and a long piece of rope.

Wait... the constitution is irrelevant because it was ratified in 1791?
And what nations are you current in a declared war with which would justify such actions under that law.
Oh,. You haven't read the law. What a surprise.

This is a lie.

All you do is lie.

what the F are you talking about? The Alien Enemies Act was written after we had a legal system and after we had citizenships and it's still the law today, that's why it has an impact on the 21st Century

No, the Alien Enemies Act was never ruled "moot" it's still good law and never been overturned. Also the Bill of Rights, was created before the Alien Enemies Act. The bill of rights was ratified on Dec 15, 1791 and the Alien Enemies Act was created in 1798. You are once again, wrong

Nothing in the UN Chater gives the UN authority over our military. Try again.

THREAD LOCKED
Some of you either didn't bother to read the opening post OR intentionally set out to derail the topic, which is clearly stated in the opening post (Mahmoud Kahlil).
