Do your own research. The APA did in fact try to mainstream pedophilia, but reversed course because of the outcry from the public. Their action was intentional and the response was expected. However, they understood that they had to go thru the process to get people used to the idea.

Look around you. There is more and more exposure to this question. It is the reason the poster started the OP. In years past would there EVER had been anyone even suggesting that being a pedophile is OK because they were born that way? What does this process compare with in recent history? I have already mentioned that the APA declassified being gay as a sexual deviancy IF it was never acted on. It is the same thing they are now saying about pedophilia.

Draw your own conclusions, but logical, reasonable people can certainly see the parallels.
