One of the things left off the list is Jesus Christ. Look at how sad these poor ignorant souls are that they protest against their own freedom. Just to show how subjective these laws are in certain muslim communities, there is a practice called Bacha Bazi. Bacha Bazi is the homosexual acts of men with young boys. In these cultures they get around such a thing by saying that boys who cannot yet grow a beard are the equivalent of women. They sell their own sons into homosexual slavery. How degenerate can you get?

You're fortunate to live in a country whose laws are secular, or you might very well be sawing people's heads off. If evangelical Christians were in charge of the U.S., we'd be a lot more like Iran than you're willing to admit.

Haha! I'm sorry, but that made me laugh Being a Christian is following Jesus. Right? Iran throws gays off buildings, buries women up to their shoulders and stones them for adultery, and murders people who leave islam. If you seriously believe Christians would do ANYTHING similar, then you know nothing of Jesus' teachings nor Christians.

The bible contains lots of barbarismlike what you described. I know modern moderate Christians would never do those things. But leave modern evangelical Christians in complete control for a few decades, and we'd be heading down the same road as Iran. They had moderates in charge decades ago, and then their version of evangelicals took over and look where they are now.

The difference is who they follow. Jesus commanded to turn the other cheek when someone hits you; to love our enemies; to pray for those who hate and persecute you; to forgive those who hurt you; to think of others more than yourselves; to go the extra mile and give the extra charity.
So, if fundamentalists (evangelicals) follow the "fundamentals" of the faith, they will in no way act like barbarians. Because of who they follow; to whom they belong.
Muhammad on the other hand, raided caravans by force, had over a dozen wives (one of which was 9), personally be headed people, assassinated people who insulted him, taught sex slaves were permissible, taught vengeance, and more. So, if some muslim fundamentalists do those things, there following there faiths founder. But if Christian Evangelicals follow there's, they would do the opposite. That's the difference my friend.

Yet they did for thousands and thousands of years, committing all kinds of atrocities along the way.

Thank goodness we live in a country where laws have been passed to prevent religious beliefs from being established as law.
