I have a Yugo M70 that's going on 11 years old, built like a tank, countless thousands of rounds through it without a single failure, perfectly accurate with open sights, it's worth a look if you can find one.

You're right. AK's sucked so bad they developed the AR's.

AK-47 was the perfect weapon to give to indigenous dirt poor farmers fighting foreign invaders. Inexpensive to manufacture, it is very reliable even under the most extreme weather conditions and difficult terrain. Simple to field strip and easy to clean.
