Global Warming will ensure that deluges of rain that we've seen the last few years in the midwest and south will continue and get worse. Let's have a way to move large amounts of water from the ole Miss and out to fill up the lakes in California and other western states. That would keep our farmers happy, the state would still burn every summer but it would be more like a weenie roast rather than armageddon. And the poorer red states like Miss, and 'bama would make some money on the deal.

If the midwest needs fire we can build another pipeline from California to the midwest and pipe our fire to them so they can evaporate any soggy mud left over from the rainy season. Or just to fry bread with. Call it California Fried Bread.
