Can't say as I blame the dude. I shot a 5" banana spider with a 12 ga once.

Always bet on stupid.

After seeing some of the reckless behaviours on gun ranges I started wearing my ballistic vest when practicing. A good thing too as the richochet off a steel target hanger proved. Don't think it had lethal velocity but felt pretty vindicated laying out the money for it.

I've had spiders bite my face at least 3 times here but I wouldn't do the aerosol can and lighter thing. I just smash em with something from the trash. My walls are a battlefield of 'blown up' bug guts. I leave it there instead of wash it off as a warning to other bugs.
