Man with rifle shoots at two guys walking down street...one of those guys has a gun too....

I always feel safer knowing that some guy who couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat is carrying a concealed weapon around my family.

Have you been to a concealed carry class....have you seen regular people qualify.....they are remarkably good for the amount of training they have...try learning about the topic...it will help when you post.....
Sonny these two morons fired multiple shots at each other ad hit NOTHING.
That is irrevocable evidence that they were poorly trained.

WRONG VICTIM Suspect With Rifle Approaches Two Men On Street And Starts Shooting But One Of The Intended Victims Is Armed Concealed Nation

Two men walking down the street were approached by a man carrying a rifle who had just come out of a house. The man said to them, “You know what time it is” and then starts shooting at them.

PLOT TWIST

One of the suspect’s intended victims was carrying a concealed firearm.

That man drew his legally carried firearm and started firing back at the suspect, sending him back into the house and barricading himself.

Police arrived to the scene and after a brief standoff with the suspect, he was taken into custody.

No one was hit with any of the exchanged rounds.

More guns saving lives, more crazies off the street. You never know where danger will be lurking, and your firearm could be the best tool you will ever add to your daily attire.

Thinking about leaving your firearm home because you’re just going for a short walk? Don’t. Carry, and carry always.
What ridiculous logic. This is about too many guns. If the guy with a rifle didn't have that rifle, this event would never have happened. This isn't about someone using a gun to save lives: this is about someone with a gun threatening lives. Really, you guys are nuts.

And yes...it is about saving lives with a concealed carry weapon....since it did save lives because the good guy was armed......
No one would have been threatened if the first guy didn't have a gun. It's basic.
Don't use other countries as an example. I have lived in Europe and spent many months in many different countries. Strict gun laws keep guns out of the hands of criminals as well as everyone else. The exceptions are not the rule as you would attempt to portray it. Don't talk about things you don't know about or don't understand. People are safer in countries with strict gun control and crime is lower. The statistics tell it all.

People are safe in low violence countries. People are safe in most place in the United States.

Strict gun laws in Europe do not keep guns out of the hands of criminals or terrorists...I have posted about how easy it is for them to get fully automatic rifles in France, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark....and not one of their extreme gun control laws stop them.....the only ones who can't get guns are the peaceful, law abiding citizens.....

And remember....in Europe, their governments killed about 12 million unarmed people.....

European Police Face Being Outgunned by Jihadists WIth Assault Rifles

As Europe struggles to crack down on illegal weapons, some police recruits face a new training exercise: Go buy a Kalashnikov rifle. Donald says that in “a city in Europe,” which he would not name, “very young officers with no training or experience” were recently told to go find an assault weapon on the streets from an illegal arms dealer. “One came back two hours later with an AK-47,” Donald says. “He bought it for €1,000.”

Iceland has 30 guns per 100 residents. It is not 'awash with guns.' You'll believe anything.

The US has 90 guns per 100 residents, highest in the world.

It is ALL ABOUT GUNS. Too many guns are the problems, and too many people, like you, who do not know how to think with reason and logic, owning them.

Getting a gun legally in Europe may be hard but terrorists have little trouble - The Washington Post

In contrast with the free-firing United States, Europe is generally seen as a haven from serious gun violence. Here in Denmark, handguns and semiautomatic rifles are all but banned. Hunting rifles are legally available only to those with squeaky-clean backgrounds who have passed a rigorous exam covering everything from gun safety to the mating habits of Denmark’s wildlife.

“There’s a book about 1,000 pages thick,” said Tonni Rigby, one of only two licensed firearms dealers in Copenhagen. “You have to know all of it.”

But if you want an illicit assault rifle, such as the one used by a 22-year-old to rake a Copenhagen cafe with 28 bullets on Saturday, all it takes are a few connections and some cash.

“It’s very easy to get such a weapon,” said Hans Jorgen Bonnichsen, a former operations director for the Danish security service PET. “It’s not only a problem for Denmark. It’s a problem for all of Europe.”

Aside from the fact that you've moved the goalposts from 'these guys were poorly trained trained' to 'you don't take the shot unless you will probably hot the target'....

There's nothing at all absolutely necessary to that rule
Do you shoot at the gun shooting at you while half-covered by a doorway? If you are in a situation where you have to shoot, then yes.

Sure I do, when I was an MP, in a self defense situation? No.

And thinking like yours is why most civilians shouldn't be carrying guns.

Self defense involves shooting to defend yourself. If you have cover, you don't need to shoot to defend yourself.
