Fox News Digital reported that Lopez Obrador announced his demands during a press conference on Friday. The development comes just a week after the Mexican president met with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Mexico City.

In order for Mexico to help the U.S., Lopez Obrador demanded that the U.S. provide $20 billion to Latin American and Caribbean countries; provide work visas to 10 million Hispanics who have been working in the U.S. for at least 10 years; end sanctions against Venezuela; and put an end to the blockade of Cuba.

The demands have put pressure on President Joe Biden, who has not polled well on illegal immigration since he took over the presidency in 2021. The report noted that the border experienced a large surge of migrants this fall, with around 240,000 encounters per month toward the end of 2023.

Yup. And Trump got Mexico to pay for the wall AND help with the illegals by threatening the Mexican president with high tariffs on all Mexican manufactured cars and parts. Mexico put 27 or 28,000 military troops on their southern border, at no cost to us, to stop the caravans from coming north through Mexico. That saved us mega billions of dollars and more than paid for the wall that Biden refused to finish.

Biden will probably agree to amnesty for the money and 10 million migrants and find some legal loophole that will let him do it. The GOP can't stop it unless the court rules the Congress has to pass a law allowing it. And with the deep state/George Soros controlling so much of the judiciary, it's almost a given that Biden will find a judge that will agree to Mexico's demands.

Mexico has a big problem with US automatic weapons being smuggled across the border to arm the cartels.

Mexico asked the US government several times to make some legal changes to make it harder to smuggle them, was totally ignored by the US government and rightly so. If Mexico has a problem with illegal items crossing the border it's their obligation to pull out the wallet and increase the number of border agents (federales).

Some people like EvilCat Breath, MarathonMike, shockedcanadian and Foxfyre have this thuggish, truculent, authoritarian, imperialist idea that neighboring countries can be bullied into serving as border patrol for their neighbors for free.

They even laugh with diabolic satisfaction as they describe America bullying Mexico into doing the work of US border agents but just imagine if the roles were reversed.

If Mexico had the ability to strong-arm America to make the necessary changes to stop the flow of US assault weapons into Mexico they would be digging up James Polk to lead the second invasion of Mexico.
