McConnell believes he might be in for a fight to retain his seat in the Senate. But with his record as a fiscal conservative that has opposed the socialism of Obama and the democrats he will have an easy win. Especially if he shows the Tea Party how he fights Obama raising taxes and when the democrats run a liberal entertainer like Ashly Judd for their candidate. McConnell is a shoe in.

Where are the liberals telling us that Judd will help Obama turn the economy around and end poverty? You lefties don't even believe your own lies any more.

You were making sense until you used the word "socialism." One, you don't know what it means, and, two, you can't give any solid examples and evidence of it. If you run that type of campaign against Judd, McConnell will lose.

McConnell will probably hold his seat, but it'll be a big fight, and take up a lot of NRSC money. Which is what the DSCC wants, I think.

Much money will be spent, but McConnell will ultimately lose. Kentucky's a red state, absolutely, but even red state citizens get bored with obstructionism playing over and over like a stuck record. The democratic minority will certainly vote for her, as will those tired of McConnell's political games, as will all those people that voted for McCain because Sarah Palin's pretty.

Last poll I saw had McConnell at 19% favorability.

There is no way the conservative state of Kentucky would elect a liberal like Ashley Judd over the honorable and devoted conservative Mitch McConnell. The liberal influence over this country is fading fast.

Really? Is that why we took the Presidency, and improved our position in both the House and the Senate?

The women and the minorities of Kentucky will determine who goes to DC. White men will have very little to do with that decision.

It doesn't really matter if he's a fiscal conservative or not. He's already branded himself as a leader of obstruction (meaning, he's the first one to stand in the way).

He painted that picture back in 2009 when he said he wanted to make Obama a 1 term president, and all of his efforts thus far have been nothing more than to block Obama.

Personally? I hope that Ms. Judd kicks his ass all over the state and sends him home to be a citizen (or, in the case of most Republicans, another lobbyist for corporations).

Either way, I'd like to see him lose his seat and go home.

It's hard to beat an incumbent.

Most people like their own senators and house representatives.

You liberals call it obstructionism by real Americans call McConnell and the Republicans in Congress our only hope to stop Obama's socialism.

McConnell has dedicated himself to making his government a failure. That's a damn shame. If he really wanted the best outcome he'd work out compromises with the administration and help his party look good so they can come back into power and enact the things that they like.

The American voters will be sick and tired of the tax and spend democrats come the next election. 2014 and 2016 will be the years the Republicans make a come back and conservatism will return for ever. The American will have learned their lesson about liberals.

The exact same message from 2012. Learn from the past or be doomed to repeat it.

Mitch McConnell will bring home all the pork he can manage so he can win re-election, while talking out of the other side of his mouth about being a fiscal conservative fighting federal overspending.

Just like he did in 2008. His ads actually boasted about bringing home $500 million of pork in the previous year.

Here's one:

He barely won re-election in 2008. If you don't think he will do more hypocritical pork barrel spending to get re-elected in 2014, you are an idiot.
