Not sure if this should go in the music forum or the software forum...

I'm looking for a program (preferably freeware) that allows one to write music scores. Two clefs is all I need. Plus the ability to type in lyrics and guitar chords.

Anyone know where I might find such a program?

ooooo way cool - wasnt my thread but Im sure glad I looked at it!

Jeff-

If you're looking for more professional equipment, I'm not sure of the name of it, but Robert Rodriguez talks about some cheap program he used to do the score for Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Apparently, he runs his instrument straight into the computer, and when he plays, it records what he plays as well as writes out the music. I know most big music acts are using ProTools now, but that's just for recording, not transcribing, and plus I hear it's very expensive.
